Maybe you are talking about Russia as Soviet Union is no more. Also main battle tank numbers is closer to 3,000, and that's before losses in Ukraine

A group of bunnies is called a "fluffle."
Most people dub them a herd, but apparently parts of Northern Canada use this much cuter designation.

Fluffle is not an oft used term, it is correct but not well used. A colony or a nest is the more used description.

When there were no clocks and one wanted to get up at a certain time, you would put a name in a candle for a certain number of hours. When the candle burnt down to the nail it would would fall hitting the metal base waking an individual up

I still eat it twice a week. A great source of Vitamin B's (B1, B2, B3, B6, B9 & B12), good for fatigue and the niacin in it can help reduce your LDL (bad cholesterol). Also apparently helps your digestive system. \:D/ All of which is important in later years.

Vegemite Bloody orrible stuff .. though quite expensive here back in the land of Kangaroos, VB n Mullets this rancid byproduct gunk lathered on toast reeks of poverty and urban squalor but is more affordable ... coupled with is Brit twin Marmite which is equally loathsome both should carry toxic health warnings.

No taste in beer; no taste in women; no taste in soccer teams; no taste in food - I guess we shouldn't expect anything else from our resident shopkeeper.

Vegemite is mothers milk, in a slightly disguised form. :D

Undeniable nutritional value but does it really need to taste like arse?

Vegemite like many regional favourites is an acquired taste. There is no doubt, from a nutritional point of view it is excellent.

One of my favourite breakfasts is wholemeal toast with Vegemite, chopped hard boild egg and smashed avocado.

Things that were taught in school, but, no more.

Reading analog clocks
Elementary school students used to be taught that when the small hand was at three and the big hand at six that it was 3:30 and perhaps time to go home. A new generation raised on digital readouts have trouble dealing with analog time-telling. So much so that some schools have actually removed analog clocks because mystified kids were turning up late for classes and exams.

Spelling
Apparently some students might have trouble spelling ABC as schools move away from explicit instruction in spelling, perhaps driven by computers and their easy spellchecks. Writes childhood literacy expert J. Richard Gentry in Psychology Today: “America has moved to a toxic system for delivering spelling instruction in spite of an extensive and evolving body of research showing that direct and explicit spelling instruction is required for students to master the mechanics of reading and writing.”

Shop class
No, shop class wasn’t learning how to become a more proficient shopper. It taught, boys mostly, basic carpentry and mechanics skills. Liability issues, using machines that can lop off digits or ruin eyes, may be one reason that shop and the industrial arts are increasingly falling off the school map. But Arthur Morgan School in North Carolina makes the case: “Shop classes offer students the opportunity to build important life skills. They learn how to use tools and build things with their hands. They let students test their inclinations toward possible careers in engineering, carpentry, or architecture.”
