"Heaving! Looks like just about every honest, social isolation honoring soul must have broken all their appliances during the lockdown. Fans, coolers, rice cookers, fridges and flat screens were rapidly filling up multiple shopping carts and trolleys."

Looks like the "made in China" throwaway society is alive and well
So they must be replacing cheap Chinese crap that doesnt last , with more cheap Chinese crap that wont last .

Most of the fans, rice cookers, coolers and fridges I have seen in Big C the last few years have a "Made in Thailand" sticker on them.

Agree my bathroom scales had a made in Thailand sticker stuck over the made in China sticker .. and im sending them back to the manufacturer as they are not calibrated correctly thus show an inaccurate reading.

They dont build things to last nowadays ,,throwaway cheap crap... not like Triggers broom in Only Fools N Horses.

I agree Jack . But theres made in Thailand , and then theres made in Thailand .
If its say a Panasonic product made in Thailand with Japanese quality control and well sourced parts that are designed to last longer than a month , fair enough .
If its made in Thailand with Chinese lack of quality control , and cheap plastic parts made in China , that fall to bits within a month , not so good .
Only my opinion Jack .
