Re: QUIZ TIME IN UDON
Totally. There were two significant modern day Khomeini's and after becoming a hostage in Baghdad, learning about who the real Arseholla was came naturally. My sister used Milton's work in her Master's studies during which I provided inspiration, beer and a studious ear. Later, my business partner wanted to name our company Boudicca so I had to familiarise myself with the who's and wherefores of that well before Gore invented certain things. Being based in Newquay, he had claimed she was some Cornish Queen so I was duty bound to learn the truth. The Irish snake thing was remembered from Miss Grant's classes at Elgin East End Primary School which if anything shows Alzheimer's is quite real. After Bayern Munich beat Rangers in the 1967 Cup Winners Cup, I felt inspired to learn more about where "Der Bomber" came from (more Alzheimer's).

2. Scargill
4. Voltage, Impedance (Current) and Resistance.
Google Disclaimer: As a bobby, my dad confronted the striking miners flying pickets at the Broch and I am a fully qualified sparky (among other things).

Re: QUIZ TIME IN UDON
Well I got that wrong, so now I am able to cheat.
"She" was Ayesha, who was a fictional character in the H. Rider Haggard novel of the same name, and didn't have a useless husband, as she was a Queen of some description.
She was also Ursula Andress, who would have aroused more than a few masturbatory fantasies (sorry for intruding on your territory tamada) for those of us old/young enough to remember.

The poor old downtrodden and oppressed Rumpole came along some time later - like nearly 100 years.

No, both games were at the MCG. One was Doggies v Richmond and can't remember the other one.
Also watched the boxing day test at MCG.
Great memories. You Aussies (well the ones in Melbourne) have got some great sporting venues.
I'd move back to Melbourne tomorrow if the opportunity presented itself.

The actor who played Rumpole was Australian as Jack said but I can't remember his name.

Re: QUIZ TIME IN UDON
Yes, Arthur Scargill.
Are you saying that impedance (Z) is current (I)?

Re: QUIZ TIME IN UDON
No. No I'm not (now).
For info: The conventional symbol for current is I, which originates from the French phrase intensité du courant, (current intensity). Current intensity is often referred to simply as current. (unashamedly from Google)
Same subtle trickery where Watts (power) is represented as 'P' in that other electrical "love triangle" and never W.

Who was the Biblical prophet that was so incensed by youths making fun of his bald head that he called upon God to punish them? What was God's response?
You only pass through this life once, you don't come back for an encore.

1. Frequency. Sure
2. Northumberland. sure
3. It is neither dead nor alive. It is based on your perception. Or something like that, I forgot the rationale exactly as to why it is neither dead not alive.
4. August? Total guess
5. Hitchcock? I think but not sure
PS Good job Earnest. Enjoying this quiz.
