I don't really have a single "favorite" song, but this one is right up there.

Another great song, but no one does it like the original, Barry Hay.

Here's the official (and more recent) video of the long version:

Later in his career, he appeared in The Sopranos as Rusty Millio, a captain in the Lupertazzi crime family. Rusty was eventually executed while sitting in his car in his driveway.

Speaking of Canadians, Mendelson Joe died on the 7th by assisted suicide. He was a musician (writer, vocals, harmonica, rhythm guitar), artist and frequent social and political commentator. Here is one of his songs. RIP, Joe.

Drunk Monkey.

Ian Dury was a fine upholder of the music hall tradition, along with the Bonzo Dog Doodah Band, Monty Python, and Rutland Weekend Television. I still consider that 'Reasons to be Cheerful' deserves to be played before all England football matches. It is far better than the dirge that is now played.

Tom Jones will belt out Delilah in its full and unexpurgated form at his first major gig in Wales in over 20 years.

Here's a message from Mendelson Joe that was published just after his death by assisted suicide.
