So where are the huge crowds for this World Championship held downunder.
So far they have just beaten the GWS home game average.

Over 21,000 today Lebonon Australia. Not bad for the cricket season.
But I suppose they at least have a tournament which is truly international.
Other codes do try and copy cat with hybrid forms of their own game.

This morning on tele a Samoan player who was born in NewZealand but lived most of his life in Australia and played all his league in Australia said that he got pissed with some mates on mad Monday and decided to be a Samoan again and play for them in the world cup.
You're not really suggesting that this is a serious comp are you Barney?

I'm sure all those enjoying an ice cold beer at The Sports Bar and actually watching the games will attest that the game is very serious when you look at the intensity it is played and some of the hits.marjamlew wrote: ↑November 12, 2017, 9:06 amThis morning on tele a Samoan player who was born in NewZealand but lived most of his life in Australia and played all his league in Australia said that he got pissed with some mates on mad Monday and decided to be a Samoan again and play for them in the world cup.

It is a mixture of park footballers and first grade players who are proud to represent, listen to their national anthem and wear their countries colours, as opposed to some sports who never get that opportunity internationally.

They hybrid game between the Irish and the Aussies on today is a joke. Just about everyone concedes that. BUT at least the Irish team is full of Irishmen who live in Ireland and play an Irish game and the Australian team is full of Aussies who live in Australia and play an Australian game.
Yesterday a team calling itself Lebanon played and there was one bloke in that team who played in Lebanon, the rest of the team are Aussies from Sydney. Surely you're not claiming that it's a fair dinkum comp and a legitimate world cup. If those who ran league were honest the world cup would be a round robin comp between Australia, New Zealand and England.

Ok Ozzies beat the Garlic side ,
Scores close, BUT it seems that the ozzie crowds like this game more
25,502, to 22, 000 odd for the World Championship game
Fyfe scores a 6 pointer, classy

Game set and match as they say...

Wasn't a bad game to watch unless you support Collingwood or Gold Coast. Pendlbury broke a finger (the one that kept him out at the end of the season) and Handley broke his hand. Nat Fyfe put on a bit of a display.
