But Falangs should know better right, coming from first world countries. He should get the book thrown at him, as he probably will, unless he has deep pockets.

Re: 2 Local kids killed in RTA involving foreigner
One thing I have learned from this topic, above all others that generally appear on this forum, is that peoples' perception of right and wrong, fairness, moral judgement and justice are as diverse as the countries from whence we came. I have a tendency to believe that those of us from the West all think alike, but that is far from the case as evidenced by some of the extreme comments on this topic. I'm not saying that anyone in particular is right or wrong, I'm just making an observation! Twenty of us can watch that video and each of us sees it from a different perspective and forms a different opinion on what has happened and what the final verdict in the case should be. Very interesting indeed!
Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

Good afternoon my friend..I totally agree, nothing new per see at all.Same with may topics here...PIE..PIZZAS..RESTAURANTS..to mention just a few.
If this person is really Mentally sick i hope he get some help from his Doc..prison does no one any good me think,or atleast very few.Growing up mentally, start cleaning up infront of your own frontdoor BEFORE me/you tell anyone else how to..And beeing locked up in a Thai prison..my guess this person will NOT have a chance to recover from any "mental dissorder",if that's the case indeed..It's my experinence (myself)to change your life around you need to take a stern look every day in the mirror and ask if this is who i want to be..not to many dare to do that..to walk the walk of life is easy on a fourlane road, take a dirtroad/narrow road..and you might find out something worthwhile..The raod of life is NOT easy to change..like any bad habbit...Make a plan, stick with it 110% and change will come.
Enough me babbling.... hope my rambling make sence to those who read it..Have a mindfull and blessed afternoon everyone.

Re: 2 Local kids killed in RTA involving foreigner
DuiDui49, I have information from a very reliable source who can confirm that Wach, the 14 year old boy who was in critical condition at Udon General Hospital, is now OUT of critical condition and is expected to go home within two weeks. He is alert and is responding to verbal commands. The photo below was taken less than an hour ago, and a meeting will be held with the boy's mother sometime this afternoon. Wach is NOT an orphan as previously reported; however, it is true that his aunt and her 11 year old son are in fact deceased as a result of the accident.
I have discovered that two different sites have been established for those who wish to make donations to aid in the continuing care of Wach and to help with the burial of his aunt and cousin. Those links are as follows:
http://www.weeboon.com/en/campaigns/sav ... ry-his-mum
https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding ... ndonations
Quicker transfers of money can be made by using Paypal to [email protected]
As of today 21,000 baht has been raised out of the original goal of 50,000. I hope that we as expats can all pull together and show some love for this family by making a contribution of any size to aid in the cause.

Re: 2 Local kids killed in RTA involving foreigner
I just checked the two donation sites and https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding ... ndonations has reached the goal of $500, but http://www.weeboon.com/en/campaigns/sav ... ry-his-mum is only at
21,700 THB on the goal of 25,000 THB. Just one more good push and they'll have it. I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to go over. One Phil Jones just gave $375, so good on your Brother!

At least there's a good bit of news for the family, plus it takes away some of the immediate financial worries for the Mum and Dad of the lad.

As of this afternoon the two donation sites are at 48,000 out of the 50,000 Baht goal for Wach and his family. An extra 2000 Baht is respectfully requested in order to show appreciation to all the ICU staff at Udon General Hospital by gifting them with flowers and cake for their 'round the clock compassionate care for Wach.
We're almost there gentlemen/ladies, so please keep the push going. We have an opportunity here to recover some goodwill within the Thai community and demonstrate that one bad deed from one bad apple doesn't represent who we are as expats!

This is a terrific gesture from all involved and I'm sure the family and the wonderful staff at Udon Genral Hospital will be extremely appreciative.Unfortunately the majority of the Thai community will always view Farang as "Bad Apples",however this will/has not deterred me from donating.Well done and thank you.

Yes some Thais will view foreigners this way but it is interesting to note that most times the Thais will flee the scene of an accident and not much is said about it.Raoul Duke wrote: ↑June 29, 2017, 8:10 pmThis is a terrific gesture from all involved and I'm sure the family and the wonderful staff at Udon Genral Hospital will be extremely appreciative.Unfortunately the majority of the Thai community will always view Farang as "Bad Apples",however this will/has not deterred me from donating.Well done and thank you.

It is the Thais right to treat us like bad apples if they wish, they are the majority and we are but visible minorities. If you look at how North America treats minorities, they aren't doing too bad.

Good Afternoon Gents/Ladies! Thanks to all of you who donated within the past 24 hours. It has been a good push over the last few days and we're just a few thousand baht short of the goal, so one last push going into the weekend should wrap it up. Once the goal is met, the money will be deposited into Wach's newly opened savings account and the bank book will be presented to him. I'm sure that will put a smile to his face and bring him that much closer to a speedy recovery. Hope does wonders for healing!semperfiguy wrote: ↑June 29, 2017, 4:30 pmsemperfiguy wrote: ↑June 28, 2017, 4:56 pmI just checked the two donation sites and https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding ... ndonations has reached the goal of $500, but http://www.weeboon.com/en/campaigns/sav ... ry-his-mum is only at
