Udon Anniversary Celebration

For those caring to view or caring to avoid.....this year's City Anniversary Celebration:
14-16 Jan, 1800hrs - dance practice at Nongprajak and the City Sports Field (near Makro)
17 Jan, 1800hrs - dance at the Prajak Statue.....expect many thousands++ of participants, closing Military Rd, Phosri, Srisuk in/around the statue.
18 Jan, 0600-0900hrs+ city ceremonies honoring the founding father near Nongprajak and the City Pillar
18 Jan, 1800hrs, fireworks at Nongprajak

Today the roads in town are ok but beware tomorrow, the town roads will be at a standstill

Read this thread last night with trepedation and interest as doing all Udon booze dels today .. so got my arse into gear early outt he blocks quicker than Usain Bolt going to get a Mars bar .. done before the roads rot tit makmak .. all parts of Ud i went to no probs in fact quiet .. but thats gonna change as i saw them dropping off the friendly toilets her n there ...then theres the big dance,
gonna be some party .

Ttbomk, the dancers aren't paid to attend, nor for their uniforms, nor for transportation (buses and songtaews from Nongwahsaw, for example). The many Udonites who pass by the statue on a daily basis and wai do so out of respect......no Kim Jong Un sort of pressure to do so.
