So how would you suggest the covid system should be handled regarding schools KP ?? .. we are all ears.

IMO for the record its obviously not how it should be but the authorities are doing the best they can under very new and challenging circumstances, a return of some school fees maybe justified also lets not forget parents will have bought multiple uniforms etc etc that with online studying are redundant.

Owing to covid, high schools in Toronto were closed from early April until the end of June. Students did on-line learning when they could be bothered to, which was not often. The school year was a fiasco for students, teachers and parents. Classes are coming back in September depending on this Indian variant of the Wuhan Flu.

The authorities in Thailand would be doing their best if they got some of the pfizer and moderna vaccines. They have dropped the ball.

"Amazing Thailand!!!" why so cynical?

the farang.

lives in Thailand, gets a Thai wife, Thai kids, a Thai house, gets a life and benefits his own country doesnt give him, enjoys the harmony of Thai social life, the Friendliness of Thai people, the Safety of Thai Society, yet, he only opens his hole to ventilate his cynicism towards his new country, just so he can feel Superior and forget he is a nobody in his own country.

1. Currently Code Red in Udon Thani. Schools keep closed based on medical, and not political, grounds. SMART DECISION. Dont make this into a Red Shirt conspiracy theory of the Bangkok elite keeping the poor people dumb.

He’s funny isn’t he, Udon's answer to a (very) poor imitation of Chuck Norris. Replying as though it’s an Indian Call Centre gets him flummoxed where to direct his anger. I miss those days.

Very interesting I put out a tongue in cheek comment and the Farang bashers are out in force , venting their bile generally in my direction because they can , hiding behind their screen names, certain in tHe knowledge that only a few will recognise them.

It also shows that most do not know me and for that I am glad and happy I do not have to share ANY part of my life with them .

Yep tell the truth, most will not like it, but that is their problem not mine . Not embracing the truth is what many believe got the world into its current situation and now it is hard to get the truth out of anyone .

Another month with kids glued on their phone. Our daughter is 9 and missing her schoolmates. We spend a couple of hours each day with Thai reading, basic maths and English but it’s a poor substitute for a pro teacher. It’s the least we can do because students pay a high price for protecting the lives of their parents.

Good points.. whilst reading writing n mathematics are obviously key attending school is not all about academics .. its about lots more .. interaction , making friends and social skills , developing personalities , play time sport exercise and sanook sanook .. it must be very difficult for parents working or not to deal with this terrible situation.

Social media has alot to answer for and kids being glued to a phone , Ipad , gaming etc isnt an answer and where possible should be limited to x amount of minutes per day.. or it may lead to a generation of loners , blank staring dribbling zombies devoid of any real social skills ..
