New Rules,re 90 day report

Here is where we will consolidate all information about Thai visas and work permits (as they are closely related to the type and availability of your visa).

New Rules,re 90 day report

It is reported on the above TV thread that it will work on any browser.

Best achieved by copy/paste into your preferred browser the URL found in the OP of that thread:

http://extranet.immigration.go.th/pibic ... 7Action.do

It also seems to work (in FF for me) if you just click through the error message box you get about only working on IE.

Of bigger concern to me is the fact that it uses only the HTTP protocol, rather than the far more secure HTTPS - given this is Thailand, I wonder if the site will become a huge target for identity theft.

That does not work with Firefox Jack...

It automatically converts it into a https address & so fails - even with cut then paste & go
tv.jpg
Manually altering the address in the bar to http just gets you a
400 Bad Request
Invalid path /loginfn.jsppibic ... 7Action was requested

However Jack... Will you be willing to do that when making an official 90 day report.
& would the Report complete correctly??

That is as clear a warning as I have ever seen NOT to use anything other than IE....

Interesting question, Bob. :-k

Whatever I do will be guided by the results people start posting after 1 April, when the system officially starts.

As I am going overseas early next month, my 90 day won't due until late July. :D

Don't forget where you are Jack, 98% of the Thai Bureaucracy are still using Xp, 1% are on Win 98 and the remainder pen, paper with semaphore flags. I should have perfect compatibility with them. :D :D

Hopefully the number of people reporting to immigration will drop drasticlly so those of us who enjoy making the trip for the our 90 day report will be seen even quicker by the IO. Only problem is for the IO, his Tips will take a beating unless you can use PayPal.

Indeed MS ..... i look forward to my 90 day reports the usual officer is a real nice sociable and happy fella ..i hope his tip box isnt hit too hard with more aliens having to do their reports in other provinces or rather the province where the visa was issued....paypal as a form of tip service is a good idea tho i might just slip him a can of apple juice or two to keep him jolly.

Udon Immo office has always offered excellent service in my personal experience ,,, Jomtien/Pattaya was and is still i believe always packed to the gills with half naked vest or bikini clad Ruskies and sweaty Indians ...which does irritate IO and the aleins that make an effort to dress in keeping with going to a Government office.

Starting to get reports coming through on TV where some of the On Line 90 Day Report applicants are now getting "Approved" notifications.

The wheels are turning slowly but none the less turning! [-o<

Why is tipping 100b corruption? Was it demanded or even asked for? Or did the guy in front of you do it all on his own?

Okay 100bht is squat
Tip if you want to
But would you tip in Farangland for someone goverment employee doing their job
In Oz or NZ it would be no
Now if they asked for money that is straight out corruption
Like the guys that came to see me at the home inspection asking for fuel money
But they only asked in Thai
Phut thai mai dee
