Post by maaka » November 9, 2018, 12:54 pm

I have builders building a man cave, and every time I ask for proper 1/4 " (I think ) construction type mesh for my concrete, all I get is some chicken coop stuff that would hold a goat..where can I get proper mesh of the non bendy type, Phen or Phon Prisai would be nice, Udon it might be..thanks

Maaka, I tried too buy mesh to do a maori hangi in Feb this year. Ventured to Global House on ring road and Khon Kaen Hwy, Thai Watsadu, Home Pro and half a dozen steel shops and could not find any. So unless they have had a supply, you could be wasting your time at those outlets.

G House did have it a few years ago. Good luck with your search and let us all know how you got along.

Why not use 6mm rebar not expensive and readily available, bolt crops are 250 baht and tie wire 30 or 40 baht a roll job done

The top mesh kopkei is showing is available in Thai Watsadu in 8 x 4 sheets, I used it recently as a base to render a wall, it's very strong and quite sharp so use gloves, the galvanisation will prevent rust.
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Don't know how many times I tried going down to local hardware suppliers in Si ChomPhu trying to get basic stuff.
Found by downloading a photo on the phone works every time. Still get the "no have" now and then but at least on the right track.

I did on one earlier occasion, take with me a drill bit that had bent almost at right angles, as an example of what I needed for a new one.
Received some funny looks and brother-in-law said they only sell "straight" ones.
