Looking for an Outlet-Shop that can provide replacement "Glass" Lenses.
Went to 3 in Central Plaza and several in the center of Udon, but all just offerred Plastic lenses. No one wanted to order in a Glass lense, like the ones that you get from Germany, France, Sweden and .........
Its quite a strong prescription, with Astigmatism (original lense was from Germany) and I broke one.
Any advice as to where I can go in Udon to order a replacement glass lense would be appreciated

Just had my prescription safety glasses refurbished.
Kept the frames and side shields and only replaced the lenses after the new eye test.

Not Udon but, Khon Kaen and shows the value of shopping around.
Lost my prescription sun glasses and went to Central with an old frame looking for new lenses. Complication is that I return to UK on Tuesday and, need before.
First shop (independent). Can do but THB 2500 (equivalent in UK for my prescription about 3500). Problem was they couldn't do before Tuesday.
Second shop (Charoen). THB 4000 and cannot get for 10 days.
Third shop (ST Optical). Can do for Monday and price THB 1800. The guy spoke passable English, retested my eyes and gave great customer care. Ended up buying some new frames. Total price for new glasses THB 4500.
Assuming they meet their promise of them being ready Monday, they have one happy customer.

Pipoz, this is a great place. See the owner, Manit. It's a Chinese family owned business, been around for years, and Manit is university graduated in optometry. They have great equipment and I have been using them for 9 years and referred many freinds to him...all satisfied. His phone number is 042 223 068 or 042 340 224. There's no pressure and he'll show you all the options and give you a great discount.Galee wrote: ↑September 7, 2019, 7:16 amUdon Optical

Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

Went to Udon Optical today, saw Manit (nice guy and straight up). So I have a replacement glass lense on the way, plus I spurged and bought new frames with prescription plastic lenses, just for the next time I drop my glasses.
His price for the new pair of plastics (frames & lenses) was some 30% less than what the three shops in Central Plaza qouted me for much the same, after their 50% Sales pitch BS speach.
