The New Democratic Party is a social-democratic federal political party in Canada. The party was founded in 1961 out of the merger of the Co-operative Commonwealth Federation with the Canadian Labour Congress. On the Canadian political scene, the party sits to the left of the Liberal Party. Wikipedia

So a video has also emerged showing the PM in black face raising his arms above his head and grinning, but no matter, he has apologized, although he was 29 and a high school teacher when one of the incidents took place, so it is time to forget and move on, and return to Sunny Ways. The Sikh leader of the NDP, Jagmeet Singh, is not so sure Trudeau Jr.'s apology is enough.
So what was happening at your high school around 2000, Uncle?

Have attitudes, and acceptable conduct changed since then? There has certainly been huge, and appropriate changes in most parts of the western world since then. But we still seem to review them through a 2015-19 lens.

Of course, shagging a porn star a few weeks after your wife has just given birth has never been acceptable (that I can remember). And neither has then paying her off for her silence and lying to deny it, because you are running for political office. [-X

According to the NDP constitution the official name of the party is The New Democratic Party of Canada, no where the word socialist appears, therefore i assume that that qualifier was added to reflect your ( Mr. LYM ) U of T bias. Thank you. Words still mean something.

Let's put it this way, If Justins last name was Smith he would still be a part time snowboard instructor or teacher. Not only is he totally inadequate to be Prime Minister he is a real danger being a spoiled trust fund kid of a famous father and is trying to create a legacy for himself because he has not and will not accomplish anything on his own. In his pursuit of glory he is costing Canada greatly. P.S. His father was a very smart man but I did not like his political views either.

I was working at a University, not attending a high school, in 2000 (my student days at high school ended in 1963 or 64). Lots of things were happening at University, You can look them up via google.

I agree with your second paragraph too. The leader of the NDP has a different take on the 'back in the day' episode. It has something to do with honesty and integrity.

I agree with your last paragraph although Trudeau the Younger has not admitted to cheating on his wife. But, he vaguely recalls groping a young girl back in the day.

I understand what you are trying to do, but I do not understand why you are trying to paint the U of T in political colours.

Maybe this quote from Wiki will help clear things up for you.
[Socialism in Canada - Wikipedia

https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Socialism_in_Canada
The New Democratic Party, (NDP) is a federal political party which officially adheres to social democracy and democratic socialism while still being the most left-wing of Canada's mainstream parties./quote]

Hope this helps.

I see lovely weather is forecast for Toronto today, Uncle.

Hopefully most of your students are out demonstrating on the world action day on climate change.

Plenty of them exercised their democratic rights, and concerns for the future of the planet in Australia and other places. =D>

I think they are going to demonstrate at the Provincial Legislature next week on the 27th. I will encourage any student to participate. Good luck to them.
Protesters joining the Global Climate Strike movement want governments to treat global warming as an emergency, slash subsidies for fossil fuels, and switch economies to 100 per cent renewable energy as soon as possible. They’re part of a worldwide series of demonstrations that organizers say will take place in 150 countries on Friday and on Sept. 27.

Trudeau is a perplexing fish for non-Canadians. He doesn't seem to be what we thought he might be.

.

One of the high priests of mmcc caught in hypocrisy. So what's new?

Justin is being hammered by political opponents for boasting about purchasing carbon offsets for the use of his airplane for campaign events, BUT it seems there are two planes. One for the political team and one for cargo.

Trudeau admitted it, but tried to justify it by saying:
“It allows us to do more events in more parts of the country and meet more Canadians.”
Tories:
“While Trudeau makes life unaffordable for Canadians with a carbon tax, he’s personally jetting around the country with two high-emitting personal planes. Seriously.”
And all of this after Trudeau was granted an audience with St. Greta of Thunberg. I'm betting she would wag her finger at him -- "How Dare You!" 55555

Personally, I don't care if he uses 10 planes. The point is his hypocrisy -- very common among the high priests of mmcc.

As a wag suggested, one of the airplanes is used to carry his costumes and canoes.

Obama publicly endorses Trudeau in his re-election bid.

Silent on his VP Biden.
