Since the Reagan-appointed Justice Kennedy never appeared to be "originalist" or constitutionalist enough, what measures could realistically be taken to ensure that others appointed under Trumps hegemony will not end up being similarly flexible, forward-thinking, accepting of contradictory opinion, willing to ignore partisan divides and in general not ride roughshod over the will of maybe half of the people? Especially "decades" after Trump has left the building?
Actually, Kennedy wasn't so bad -- not nearly as bad as Suter, who I would characterize as a disaster. The fact that Kennedy is resigning now indicates to me that he is extremely aware of the activism on the court -- especially since he has had to deal with so much of it coming from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals (where LIBs bring everything). Kennedy supervises the 9th Circuit. Kennedy wanted Trump to appoint his replacement. That is excellent.

Nothing is a sure thing in many areas of life, and the same holds true for selecting justices to the Supreme Court; but it's the nature of the beast for Republicans who pick originalists/constitutionalists. I don't recall any Democrat appointee EVER having an attack of constitutionality, and I would bet money that any two appointees to the SCOTUS (or any other federal court bench) by Hillary the Hag would make the court so far left that there would be no United States by 2025.

In summary, I'd much rather Trump make this choice than anyone else -- and take my chances.

I wouldn't even trust Loser McRomney or Loser McCain to select a constitutionalist (I didn't vote for either one. They both ran horrible campaigns, were afraid of their own shadows and weren't willing to fight for us or for the job.). They'd both be so willing to fall in line with LIBs/PROGs -- as they do on so many issues that frighten them -- they would probably agree to appoint Garland so that Democrats can feel better about everything.

There should be no Left and Right on the court. An orginalist/constitutionalist is not the Right. The Constitution is Dead-Center-American. Anyone who makes up sh*t and tries to get their agenda "to fit" in some crazy places (like RGB and Soto) doesn't belong on the court.

Foxconn Manufacturing plant brings billions in jobs to Wisconsin.

Foxconn plans to build a $10 billion manufacturing complex in Mt. Pleasant, Wisconsin.
Backers see the Foxconn project as a can’t-miss opportunity to transform the region’s economy and build an advanced manufacturing hub around the 22 million-square-foot campus. The plant could eventually employ 13,000 workers, some of whom will likely cross the state line from northern Illinois. If the scope of Foxconn’s proposed investment is unprecedented, so are the incentives offered to lure it: $3 billion from the state and $764 million at the local level if the company hits benchmarks tied to jobs, wages and investment. Infrastructure spending approved in connection with the project could bring the total to $4 billion.
Those with their hair on fire will say that the jobs may not be permanent or full time or even in the US. 55555
Wisconsin voters are more divided. About 46 percent of registered voters think the state is paying more than the plant is worth, while 40 percent think it will provide at least equal value, according to a recent Marquette University Law School poll. Most voters think the Foxconn plant will boost the Milwaukee-area economy, but statewide only 29 percent think their local businesses will benefit.
As with everything else nationally, Democrats in Wisconsin are critical of the deal because of the state's incentives to build in Wisconsin. 55555 So for those with their hair on fire, ANY deal is subject to criticism in some way just to "resist" every damn thing. 55555
Environmental groups have criticized the Trump administration’s decision to make much of southeast Wisconsin exempt from the latest federal limits on smog pollution. Those rules would have required Foxconn and other smog-producing factories to install more effective pollution-control equipment, scale back production or make emissions-trading agreements with cleaner facilities. Illinois Attorney General Lisa Madigan said last month she plans to file a lawsuit challenging the Environmental Protection Agency’s decision.
During the ceremony, workers publicly thanked Trump and Foxconn for giving the opportunities for jobs.

Trump said Foxconn has already contracted more than 25 local Wisconsin construction companies to help build their main facility. Foxconn executives say they will build the factory with American made steel and concrete.

Of course, those with their hair on fire would say that those jobs aren't going to be permanent once the facility is completed. 55555

=====

Earlier this week, American workers at Harley-Davidson praised Trump’s fair trade policies, crediting the populist president for "just trying to save American industry."

Barack Obama left the Democrat Party in tatters with over 1,000 lost political seats nationwide during his tenure, and they apparently don't have anyone to repair that devastation. Today, Democrats own the hate. They embrace it, and they continue to double- and triple-down their ownership.

There is nothing better than using someone's own words to expose them.

#WalkAway already has over 55,000 members on Facebook, and they're adding 1,000 members per day of people who were once Democrats and walking away.

Trump is STEADY WINNING.

Reuters Poll -- Young and White fleeing the Democrat Party -- the party of the KKK and Jim Crow.

Since 2016, young white Americans are fleeing in droves in favor of economic prosperity. In just the last three months, more than 16,000 registered voters between the ages 18 to 34 have left the Democrats.

In 2016, young white Americans favored Democrats over Republicans by a 47 to 33 percent margin. Since Trump’s election, and the booming economy with many high-paying jobs and opportunities, that Democrat favoritism has all but disappeared.

In 2018, it's dead even -- 39% of young white Americans say they favor Republicans, while another 39% of young white Americans say they favor Democrats.

And all of these losses for Democrats came BEFORE they started banging the drums to protect illegal aliens and started marching to eliminate ICE. It's easy to predict that more Americans will #WalkAway from Democrats.

Blue-Collar Wages Rising

Glassdoor, a wage-tracking concern, shows in their latest data that labor shortages are raising wages in a variety of blue-collar jobs. According to their date, jobs with the fastest pay growth in June included
- warehouse associate - up 6.8 percent to $43,961 annually
- material handler - up 5.1 percent to $36,179 annually
- truck driver - up 7.3 percent to $54,659 annually
- retail key holder - up 4.9 percent to $29,746 annually
- security officer - up 4.7 percent to $35,554 annually
- bank teller - up 8.1 percent to $31,108 annually
- cashier - up 3.4 percent over the past year

Wage growth has recovered along with the improving economy. Pay growth has also risen each month this year in 2018.

Trump’s campaign to limit legal and illegal immigration creates a labor shortage, which in turn makes labor more valuable. It's that old supply & demand fact. It is helping wages and salaries to rise nationwide.

Seeing this clip from 1980 shows just how clever this man is, the contest ended up being exactly as he predicted a brain versus a brainless smile, thankfully the brain won.

He was very insightful in that video.

Many have underestimated Trump, attacked him without much fact to back it up, and minimize everything that he has accomplished throughout his life and as POTUS. His detractors still fail in being able to separate his tweets from his actions. His administration continues to move forward despite all of the Left's (that includes the eneMedia) distractions and Trump's tweets fending them off. That's probably due to him delegating responsibilities to his cabinet to get things done and Trump following up on it and expecting results -- like a business leader would do -- or lose his/her job.

The stack of bodies, who have shot at him and missed, continues to pile up; and Trump continues to win support from people in groups who did not support him before the election.

I was one who underestimated him -- not for his abilities or intellect or drive, but I wasn't certain of the conservative message that was brought to his campaign. There was nothing in his past to indicate that he would follow through. No history. It was for that reason only that I did not support him until the general election -- only because the choice was to vote for him or anti-America corrupt Hillary. Better to vote for an unknown than to vote for someone who would continue to tear the country down and insult American Citizens and Taxpayers.

Re: Trump addresses EU trade deficit

Merkel warns of worldwide financial crisis
German Chancellor Angela Merkel raised the specter of a new global financial crisis as she warned of the potential fallout from a trade war with the U.S., saying tariffs on European cars would be “much more serious” than levies on steel and aluminum.

In an address to Germany’s lower house of parliament Wednesday, Merkel cited President Donald Trump’s threat of targeting U.S. imports of cars from Europe, which risk hitting Germany the hardest. She backed efforts by the European Union and U.S. negotiators to reach a deal this month.
Trump has already agreed to totally free and fair trade -- no tariffs at all and no trade barriers. Totally free and fair trade.

Those who have traded with the US in the past rejected free and fair trade -- including those at the G7. Why? Because it's the US that has had the trade deficit. The G7 has a trade surplus with the US, but no trade means that the US erases their deficit and also erases the trade surplus enjoyed by others.

What seems to escape all of the hate-America crowd is that Trump was responding to the US being screwed over in trade for many years. Trump didn't create this mess. Trump inherited it, and he's determined to fix it.

The same will happen with NATO. It's time for all of the members to pay what they pledged to pay a LONG TIME AGO.

The US is no longer the world's piggy bank.

The White House has been walking this one back.

Salman commented that KSA will always maintains a safe buffer of 2 mbpd production. Trump totally spins that as Saudi has an extra 2 mbpd to pump.

...and have agreed to do so.

"Increasing market supply by 2 mb/d is very different thing than 'prudently' using spare capacity to 'ensure market stability'."

A Democrat Assemblyman, Dov Hikind of Brooklyn, NY, is pushing back against the national leadership of his own party -- specifically against Senator Chuck Schumer, who is the Democrat Minority Leader in the US Senate.

He issued this public statement on his Facebook page.

https://www.facebook.com/assemblymandovhikind/
DEMOCRAT HIKIND RESPONDS TO SCHUMER’S PLEA FOR DONATIONS WITH ‘HELL NO!’

COUNTERS SLAM ON ‘HARD RIGHT AGENDA’ WITH UNCOMFORTABLE TRUTHS ABOUT ‘HARD LEFT’

Assemblyman Dov Hikind (D, Brooklyn) said he recently received a mailer from fellow Democrat, Senator Charles Schumer asking for contributions. The letter was riddled with attacks on the “hard right” but omitted vital information. In an open letter to Schumer, Hikind filled in the blanks.

“Senator Schumer, in your letter you promise to fight for Democratic values and go on at great length to fully villainize the current administration, but you left out certain facts that my fellow Democrats, to say nothing of all Americans, should also be aware of.

“You forgot to tell us about the economy. As good as it’s been, economists expect even more growth through the end of the year. That’s very good news, Senator.

“You forgot to tell us about unemployment, which is lower than it has been in decades, while economic confidence is at a 17-year high. It’s also at a record low for minorities. That’s very good news, Senator.

“You forgot to tell us how the U.S. is beginning to emerge in energy dominance. The Department of Interior, which has led the way in cutting regulations, opened plans to lease 77 million acres in the Gulf of Mexico for oil and gas drilling, decreasing our reliance on foreign oil. That’s very good news, Senator.

“You forgot to tell us about the most remarkable relationship between the United States and our ally Israel ever. Or about moving the U.S. embassy to Jerusalem, which you yourself applauded.

“You forgot to tell us about the successful dismantling of the Iran Deal—a deal which you yourself opposed and knew threatened the rest of the world by making it easier for Iran, the leading supporter of world terrorism, to develop nuclear weapons.

“You forgot to tell us that the Trump administration is against the harmful reverse-discrimination criteria in universities that would so badly hurt the children from hard-working Asian families. So much for the big tent, Senator.

“You forgot to tell us about a potential peace with a denuclearized North Korea.

“You forgot to tell us about tax cuts. I’m part of the middle class and now I’m getting a little extra in my paycheck. I’m happy about that and so are tens of millions of Americans, Senator.

“You ask for a contribution, but the Democratic Party—which I am a lifelong member of—is currently betraying the ideals that our party once stood for: American values. You yourself proposed that Representative Ellison head the party, but you must surely know that Ellison has stood with our nation’s leading hate monger Louis Farrakhan.

“Senator Schumer, as a fellow Democrat, I ask you to work to restore sanity and honesty to our party so I can feel good about supporting it fully. Until then, I’m afraid the Republicans have my support.”
It looks like the #WalkAway movement is now affecting registered Democrats who hold political office. They realize that the socialist Democrats of 2018 are not the Democrat Party that they joined many years ago. Some Democrats still love America and value the Constitution, Free Enterprise and Individual Liberty. The Democrats of 2018 are unhinged socialists.

Assemblyman Hikind of New York is one of those who still loves America. I'm sure if he doesn't leave the party on his own, Schumer will make sure that he's thrown out.

And the long exit march continues this time the primo CLIENT CHANGE SKEPTIC

Scott Pruitt quits as EPA chief amid ethics controversies

https://nypost.com/2018/07/05/scott-pru ... -scandals/
Embattled EPA chief Scott Pruitt resigned under mounting pressure on Thursday — as the number of ethical controversies over his personal and professional behavior continued to pile up.

Pruitt was facing 13 congressional ethics investigations over his lavish spending of taxpayer money on security and first-class flights, as well as a sweetheart deal he cut on a DC condo owned by a lobbyist whose husband had business with the EPA.

In a resignation letter issued to media outlets, Pruitt heaped praise on the president and expressed no regret for any of his own actions.

“It is extremely difficult for me to cease serving you in this role first because I count it a blessing to be serving you in any capacity, but also, because of the transformative work that is occurring,” Pruitt wrote.

“However, the unrelenting attacks on me personally, my family, are unprecedented and have taken a sizable toll on all of us.”

Trump said in a second tweet that Deputy Administrator Andrew Wheeler, a former coal industry executive, will assume the acting administrator position at the EPA on Monday.

“I have no doubt that Andy will continue on with our great and lasting EPA agenda. We have made tremendous progress and the future of the EPA is very bright!” Trump wrote.

Pruitt’s resignation came days after two of his former senior staffers spoke to House Oversight Committee investigators and made new allegations about how he conducted himself.

Samantha Dravis, Pruitt’s former policy chief at the EPA, told the investigators last week that he had made clear to her before and after he became administrator that he wanted the attorney general’s job, held then and now by Jeff Sessions.

Pruitt denied her account.

During his one-year tenure, Pruitt crisscrossed the country to speak with industry groups and hobnob with GOP donors, but he showed little interest in listening to advocates he derided as “the environmental left.”

The feeling was mutual.

“Despite his brief tenure, Pruitt was the worst EPA chief in history,” said Kieran Suckling, executive director of the Center for Biological Diversity.

“His corruption was his downfall, but his pro-polluter policies will have our kids breathing dirtier air long after his many scandals are forgotten.”

Like Trump, Pruitt is a climate-change skeptic and a fierce critic of the Paris climate agreement, from which Trump withdrew.

None of the others have mattered, and neither will this one. His successor has already been chosen, and the slashing of regulations will continue.

Dems get a scalp that won't do anything to help their electoral prospects, and Trump won't miss a beat. :)

"Our economic policy can be summed up in three very simple but beautiful but beautiful words," President Donald Trump told a rally in Montana Thursday evening: "Jobs, jobs, jobs," he said.

Over 200,000 jobs were added in June according to the Labor Department. This matches the average number of jobs added each month in 2018. That number is far above the 100,000 jobs that economists claim is required to keep up with growth.

Average hourly earnings rose 2.7%, but that is slightly below the 2.8% expectations.

The labor force participation rate rose 0.2% to 62.9%. That was better than expected.

The jobs reports for May and April were both revised upward. May added 244,000 jobs, compared with the previous estimate of 223,000. April added 175,00, compared with 159,000.

Job openings still outnumber unemployed workers. That record continues.

Today, there are 155,576,000 employed Americans -- the 10th record of the Trump administration. Labor force participation had been trending downward since the year 2000. A a record 27,077,000 Hispanics were employed, and the unemployment rate for this group, 4.6 percent, has never been lower.

STEADY WINNING.

Not making the grade on public opinion:
American voters disapprove 55 - 40 percent of the job President Trump is doing, compared to a 52 - 43 percent disapproval rating in a June 20 Quinnipiac University National Poll and reversing a trend which showed Trump's net approval inching up.

The president gets negative grades on most character traits:
58 - 38 percent say he is not honest;
55 - 43 percent say he does not have good leadership skills;
55 - 43 percent say he does not care about average Americans;
62 - 34 percent say he is not level-headed;
63 - 32 percent say he is a strong person;
57 - 39 say he is intelligent;
60 - 37 percent say he does not share their values;
62 - 36 percent say he does not provide the U.S. with moral leadership.

Voters approve 53 - 39 percent of Trump's meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin and approve 51 - 40 percent of the way the president is handling the nation's policy toward North Korea.

Walk away truth or fiction?
There’s little actual evidence to suggest that #WalkAway represents a mass conversion of millions — or even thousands — of Democrats to the Trump Train since Straka’s video. Instead, the #WalkAway hashtag is going Conservative Internet viral on the same hope driving recent pro-Trump support of Kanye West: that the country is on the verge of a mass conversion to conservative thought, a Great Awakening of sorts. And the thing about anticipating an awakening is that it never actually has to happen for the idea of it to go viral.

The pro-Trump Internet is really good at convincing its audience that going viral signals popular opinion, that its movement is and always will be #winning. In this case, #WalkAway is the answer to the possibility of a Blue Wave in the 2018 midterms. It doesn’t need to be true to be effective. After all, the hashtag has now become an article in The Washington Post.

Party affiliation numbers constantly change. Just a few months ago.....
Voters Are Leaving The Republican Party In Droves, But They Aren’t Embracing The Democrats Just Yet
According to a recent report by Gallup, Republicans are losing numbers across the country. The number of people in the United States who want to identify or are willing to identify as Republicans has fallen by several percentage points, about three or four.

Now, that may not seem like a lot. Three to four percent nationwide, sure whatever, we’ll take it. However, historically, party ID affiliation does drop following a presidential election, but it only drops by about one or two percent. So, this three to four percent is about double what we’re used to seeing and according to the researchers that worked on this survey, they believe that it is more permanent than the Republican Party realizes.
