I'm not here to debate anyone -- or to discuss one of Reich's continuous streams of articles and economic theories. I'm very familiar with him. I've read/heard quite a bit and quite enough from Robert Reich to know that he is not a capitalist. Plus, it's one of his "opinion" articles and labeled as such.

Robert Reich was in government for years. Why the hell didn't anyone listen to him and use his theories to fix it when he was there giving advice? (That's a rhetorical question.)

Reich talks a lot, teaches and writes a lot of books. He has no real world business experience APPLYING any of his theories to show any level of success. He is an author, educator, theorist and demagogue. If Reich had been successful, he would be somewhere other than Cal-Berkeley -- one the more leftist universities in the US. I respect his service and his exceptional level of education. I don't agree with him on much of anything. There are communists and subversives who hate America and have more education than I possess, but I don't agree with them either. Education alone doesn't make one's ideas good or best.

What I have posted in the last several weeks in THIS thread (even more so in the last 48 hours) is factual. What some choose to call "nonsense" because they don't like it and want desperately for Trump to fail, is happening and unfolding right in front of everyone's eyes and proving all the economic alarmists to be dead damn wrong. They are confounded by the continued success of the US economy -- especially when the economies of most of the rest of the world are heading south. Gee, I wonder why that is?

There are none so blind as those who refuse to see.

Here's wishing a relaxed and peaceful evening to all.
Again LS, what happens if Trump starts a War with Iran, will the markets still be 'winning'...What if the trade dispute with China escalates....still 'winning'?????

Well, Democrats have finally been exposed -- through their own missteps and in their eagerness to resist anything Trump.

- full amnesty for all illegal aliens
- abortion on demand to include up to the moment of birth and beyond
- federal funding of abortion paid for by taxpayers
- wealth confiscation of the top 1% to 10% depending upon who you ask
- forgiveness of student loans in the billions, putting taxpayers on the hook for it
- open borders with no criminal consequences
- reparations for slavery
- promoting Sanctuary cities rejecting federal immigration law
- reparations for gay people
- repeal of the Trump tax cuts
- representation of non-citizens at the expense of US citizens
- college as a right
- health care as a right
- job as a right
- housing as a right
- free or reduced college tuition for illegal aliens
- violating the 1st Amendment (speech and religion)
- violating the 2nd Amendment
- violating the 5th Amendment (due process)
- violating the 14th Amendment (equal protection under the law)
. . . and there's more.

There is no "right" in the Constitution that requires the forced participation of others, the assets or labor of others, or infringes on the rights of others. What Democrats propose would have to be implemented at the barrel of a gun. Quite Maoist.

At least we all know who they are now. The contrast will make election choices very easy.

Sounds like you are avoiding the question...you have no problem predicting Trump will win in 2020...the truth is if Trump follows thru on the dangerous path towards war, or increases tariffs the market will spiral downward and maybe push the US into a recession...and PS. Mr Mueller is going to testify....are you scared yet???...maybe time for you to vanish again.

Some clarification is in order.

1. I have not predicted a Trump victory, but I am optimistic TODAY based on the clown car full of Democrat candidates, their socialist programs and policies, and the never-ending witch hunt in the Democrat House of Representatives. Of the Democrat candidates running, I would never vote for any of them. Quite a bit can happen over the next 18+ months. TODAY, things look very good.

2. Iran is the provocateur in the Strait of Hormuz. Iran has been the sworn enemy of the US for 4 decades. All of this didn't just start happening in the last 2 years under Trump. "Death to America" has been going on for along time. If there is to be a war, Iran will be the one to initiate it. (e.g. - mines on tankers and shooting down a US drone). Trump has already proven that he is not the aggressor. Instead, Trump is using economic sanctions.

3. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is in the Middle East as I type. He is there to form a coalition against Iran. Depending on how that goes and the increased sanctions on Iran, I MIGHT be able to see a clearer outcome, but I can't predict anything TODAY. Nope. By the same token, no idea on the stock market as a result of any US-Iran aggression. In order to get the full context of my thoughts on the stock market, it would behoove those who are truly interested to read all of my posts. I hate repeating myself -- unless it's to point out a crybaby failure.

4. For those who want to predict failure for Trump, that's nothing new here at UdonMap. The same ones who have been predicting failure for the past three years will keep doing so and hoping for a knockout punch on Trump. Knock yourselves out. You've been pretty much dead damn wrong the entire time. Trump is still standing and marching along for the People. However, Trump could very well lose the election. Trump could be blamed for disaster after disaster (he has been already -- every damn day) between now and November 2020. In that case, he could lose the election. My life won't end, and I'll continue to enjoy myself every day that I wake up, take a deep breath and go to my workout.

The Brawler from Queens is exactly what America needed to fight against the vile Left. That's what the Left hates most about Trump. He fights back. He doesn't just stand there and take it like the weak, squishy wimps of the GOPe Mush.

Mueller's testimony doesn't bother me one bit. See another thread for my thoughts on that.

How about cherry picking the whackiest ideas from various Republicans and presenting them in a list as if that's the Republican platform?

It's a crazy world in places. Thanks for your contribution.

The current President of the United States seems to deserve the grade "rapist" and "serial sexual assaulter".

It seems to be a situation that the American political system is currently unable to deal with.

I think that it is down to the old adage, ''if you sling enough mud, some of it will stick''. In the modern world of envy politics a good story should not be marred by the truth.

You can tell when the CBoS are losing their grip when they start repeating stories that occurred in 2005 and were used by Trump's enemies during the election THAT HE WON.

It still stings the haters to be dead damn wrong so many times over so many years. Image
