In this case, Canadians who buy imported US products will pay. And visa versa Americans that by Canadian Mexican EU imported increased priced due to Tariffs will also PAY but someone keeps saying oh there is not increase in products costs due to tariffs, Bull Puppies
Tariffs are no win situation and never will be. If a country cant get their house in order themselves dont expect other countries to

You've obviously never taken an international economics course in your life. Just shut your hole and listen for a minute.

Why, for the past 30 years, is a new Toyota Camry CHEAPER to buy in the US than in Japan?

It's because Toyota is willing to take a short-term loss to capture market share. It's also called dumping, and it's illegal.

These are the type of imbalances Trump is trying to correct.

. . .

If they buy the imported products; but again, it's not affecting consumer sentiment or purchasing power. The data has not been refuted. It's clear.
but someone keeps saying oh there is not increase in products costs due to tariffs
What someone keeps saying is that it's not affecting the economy because consumers aren't buying the imported products or they can afford the products.
Tariffs are no win situation and never will be.
They are detrimental if the tariffs are against free traders. If they are levied to balance a country's trade deficit, they protect that country's jobs and businesses.
If a country cant get their house in order themselves dont expect other countries to
That's true. That's why Trump is getting US trade in order. The US can't depend on allies to be fair with us. They've screwed us over for years. So ... Trump is getting the house in order.

Tariffs have to be discussed individually. That is if the item having a tariff applied to such as aluminum the consumer will not be worried about the price of cucumbers. and visa versa
Applying a tariff to aluminum worried such producers as Coke which did raise their price and also GM on their vehicles.
So one cannot say tarrifs do not raise prices just because the inflationary rate does not go up as inflation is based on numerous items

Both Coca-Cola and GM said Wednesday they will have to raise prices on their iconic products in large part because of President Trump’s trade war.

The rising price of European aluminum and steel is expected to pinch their bottom lines — and the unexpected increases will be passed on to the consumer, the companies said.

“Clearly it’s disruptive for us,” Coca-Cola Chief Executive James Quincey told analysts while reporting the company’s second-quarter results, speaking about the cost increases. “It’s disruptive for our customers.”

Later, in an interview with CNBC, Quincey noted that the off-cycle price hike was “pretty unusual” for the brand.

“The tariffs on the metals, it’s one of many factors [that] cost us to go out in the middle of the year and announce price increase,” he said.

So when Don applies Tariffs guess what the other countries and you never hear these words out of Trumpet or his written or spoken friends, THEY put tariffs on US products such as
CANADA
After the U.S. imposed steep tariffs on steel and aluminum imports worldwide, Canada retaliated with their own tariffs, which went into effect on July 1. The tariffs affect $12.8 billion worth of American goods, including foodstuffs such as coffee, whiskey, candy, orange juice, yogurt, and condiments.

And guess who pays, drum roll please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Little Sasha

We are talking Tariffs and the effect they have on Prices You keep talking about Economy
You are more than welcome in starting your own discussion about the economy but this one is about Tariffs

You can't even squeeze logic out of someone who refuses to think or to explain tariffs to someone who refuses to see.

I have noticed though, that he has very little original thought. He can't articulate his position in his own words or even comprehend or explain what he has copied and pasted. He's just creating something to have a response -- any response -- because he doesn't care.

How much do beer or soda cans weigh? How many cans does it take to make a kilo? How many other products are packed in Aluminum containers. Sounds like a tempest in a tea pot.

Toyota has been manufacturing the Camry in the US since 1988. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toyota_Mo ... g_Kentucky

Dumping relates to imported products, and it's not illegal under WTO rules. https://www.investopedia.com/terms/d/dumping.asp

Tell us about your international economics expertise, giggly. :-k

Or shut your own miserable hole. But I know you won't listen, even for a minute. :D

How much do beer or soda cans weigh?
About 14 grams.
How many cans does it take to make a kilo?
About 71
How many other products are packed in Aluminum containers.
Plenty

But concentrating on the (conservative) estimated annual manufacture of aluminium drink cans in the US - 88.5 billion - we are talking about 1.2 billion kg (1.2 million tonnes) of aluminium.
Sounds like a tempest in a tea pot.
That would make an awfully big teapot. ;)

And that's what Trump's tariffs are encouraging. He's said it. Many times.

"Leave China to avoid the tariffs and come manufacture your products in the US!"

Like Toyota has done with the Camry.

Supply lines are shifting. Companies are moving out of China. It's been happening for over a year now.

Wow - did he say that in 1988?

I though he was still bankrupting casinos, and screwing bondholders, contractors and suppliers back then. :-k

Whatever pain the tariffs cause, and not a lot, it will be well worth the end result. Trump knew the stock market would take a hit and he said so. No surprise there. People have made huge money in the stock market, I'm not one of them. My money is where I know exactly what I have and being an old man, that's important to me. CD's don't pay much but there is no risk.

Serious reading comprehension problem.

1. Note the location of the quotes.
2. Toyotas don't originate in China.
3. Toyota's move was used as an example of what Trump's goals are with today's tariffs.

Emotional frenzy. But I understand. You just had to jump on it, but it was too quickly.
