The following comment struck me as particularly descriptive of the Progressive political mindset.

"Vote Scamming has been an issue since Lincoln's time, and before. It's all about the mindset. The Clintons were the epitome of "The ends justify the means." The more such a paradigm is used, the deeper it intrudes and the further it reaches. I've read report after report of how Democrat vandals slash tires, burn GOP offices, and vandalizde signs. The obverse has never been observed. It also appears that after lawsuits hit their stride and Democrat functionaries are found guilty, the record gets erased, and the next election cycle sees Democrats say that both sides do it.

It is easy to understand how Mohammed famously said, “War is deceit.” (Sahih Bukhari, Vol. 4, Book 52, Nr.268). The Quran boasts that Allah is the “master of all scheming” (Quran 13:42) and that he is “profound in his machinations” (Quran 8:30). He developed deception into an art form. The Dems is just more of the same."

Trump gave a GRAND WELCOME to Australian Prime Minister ScoMo and his wife.

After Trump's welcoming speech and historical account of the great allied relationship between Australia and the US, Prime Minister Morrison gave a great speech.

Well, as I just said to the President, “Thanks, mate.” (Laughter.)

Mr. President, Mrs. Trump, honored guests, distinguished guests, friends one and all, here in this land of liberty: Thank you, Mr. President and Mrs. Trump, for the honor you have bestowed on my country here today with this extraordinary welcome. Jenny and I bring with us and our delegation the amity, the thanks, and respect of 25 million Australians for this great country of these United States of America.

Fifty years ago, another Australian Prime Minister visited the White House. And he said, “There are too many bonds between our two countries for any Australian Prime Minister to feel that he is stranger.” So once again, as another Prime Minister returns as a friend to celebrate with you, Mr. President, one of our oldest and dearest friendships, it is wonderful to be here.

Australians and Americans understand each other like few other peoples. And it is true that you and I have established a very early understanding, for which I am grateful. No two peoples in the world make better friends easier than ours. Your respect for Australia, Mr. President, your personal encouragement, and the example afforded by your passion for what makes America great makes ours a very easy connection.

For a century, as you have recounted, we have done what true friends do: stick by each other. Ronald Reagan spoke of the “truths and traditions” that define the United States. Australians share these truths and traditions. We see the world through the same lens. From the cornfields of Hamel, to the jungles of Southeast Asia and the Pacific, to the dust of Tarin Kowt, and now, even the waters of the Straits of Hormuz, Australians and Americans continue to stand together.

I’m reminded of a story of a young American soldier in the First World War calling out to Australian soldiers for help to attend to the wounded. And an Australian soldiers replied in the notorious, blunt language of soldiers, which I will censor here. (Laughter.) But he said, “Sure, Yank, I’ll go. We’re in this thing together.” (Laughter.)

Mr. President — (laughter) — Australia may often — look, he’s a New Yorker. (Laughter.) Mr. President, Australia may often look to the United States, but we have never been a country that been prepared to leave it to the United States. We don’t. That’s not our way. We pull our weight.

Like you, our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor are found in our willingness to stand for what we believe. We believe, as Teddy Roosevelt declared, that national strength is found in the ability of citizens to live out their lives with “self-restraint, self-mastery, common sense, the power of accepting individual responsibility,” and the ability to act “in conjunction with others” and with “courage and resolution.”

We believe in the capacity of enterprise and free markets to create wealth and to lift all, and for free and fair trade to bring nations closer together. We believe that governments derive their power from the consent of the governed and that the ballot box and democracy is the surest foundation for peace and security. And we believe in the rule of law and freedom of association.

These beliefs spurred this country to build a mighty canal; to stand up to fascism and militarism; to rebuild the modern world after winning a great peace; inspired the fascination, wonder, and joy of the world’s children through a little mouse who could whistle a tune; who took humanity to the moon — and, indeed, we’re going back again; tore down a wall that separated liberty from oppression; and imagined, engineered, and built a digital world that has connected humanity in a way that we now can’t imagine living without. America reminds the world that it can be done. How great is America?

The world is a better place because of this country living out its moral purpose — a world not just more secure, but more prosperous as well. The new economies of the world lifting hundreds of millions from poverty do so because they first saw the United States define a century and do that first, and then invited and supported them to follow.

Mr. President, I know that the leaders of more powerful nations will indeed visit this home known throughout the world and will be welcomed as friends. But you won’t find a more sure and steadfast friend — a better mate — than Australia.

It is a coincidence of history that on the very day Pearl Harbor was attacked, Australia gifted a 99-year lease to the United States to build its embassy on our capital. And 60 years later, as the President has remarked, on September 11, another Australian Prime Minister, John Howard, was here in Washington at our embassy and he invoked our treaty with you and pledged our country to stand with you against the architects of terror as we do to this day.

When President Reagan welcomed another Australian Prime Minister on this lawn, he reminded us, “Liberty is not an inevitable state, and there is no law which guarantees that once achieved it will survive.”

So we pledge ourselves here at this dawn of a second century of mateship between our nations to renew and modernize our alliance for a new century, to continue to be vigilant and strong, and to build the economic strength that our world needs that contributes to the peace and prosperity of all.

Whatever lies ahead in this century, I know that Australian and the United States will go on to meet it with the same courage, the same daring, the same unbreakable bond that has defined the first century of mateship.

Mr. President and Mrs. Trump, thank you again for welcoming Jen and me here — and here as true friends. May God bless you. May God bless the good peoples of the Commonwealth of Australia and these United States of America.

It's good to see real allies.

CNN report on Minnesota turning RED.

More and more Democrats are Trump supporters. They say they didn't leave the Democrat party, but that the Democrat party left them. These new Trump supporters say that Trump is for the working man.

The Socialist Democrats don't have a chance of changing the minds of these people.

Plunging new depths of sycophancy by an Australian PM - known colloquially as "aarse-licking".

Such levels of obsequiousness - particularly to a character like Trump - won't be a big hit in Oz.

When the Orange scumbag eventually goes to trial, out of office obviously, and his crimes are laid bare will the politicians who have been holding their nose through his presidency step up to put in place legislation to prevent it happening again?

Or would they be ok with someone like Bernie Sanders behaving the same way?

..or god forbid one of those foreigners.

One of the things I love about Udon Map is that every so often someone gets to use a new word

"Such levels of obsequiousness - particularly to a character like Trump - won't be a big hit in Oz." OBSEQUIOUSNESS certainly is a winner
Thanks for the lesson

Depends on how one looks at it. It could just as easily be a smart leader who understands that the best way to deal with Trump is to stroke his ego. Not sayin' that that's what was going on, but impossible to rule it out.

Maybe , but you have to put it into perspective .
They are after all coal buddies . Neither see anything wrong in digging up millions of tons of CO2 thats been stored for millions of years, and releasing it into an all ready polluted atmosphere.
So when it comes to destroying the planet , they are not so dissimilar :-" :-"

More bad news for the Cheerleaders for Failure.

Real Clear Politics, famous for their averaging across major polls for many different surveys, finds that Trump's approval rating is surpassing that of Bayrack at the same time during their terms in office.

Since it's very rare that any poll shows Trump favorably, it's even more startling that an AVERAGE would be higher than the eloquent do-nothing Obama.

Trump's approval rating midweek was 44.3%. At that same point in Bayrack's first term, he polled at 43.9%.

More bad news for the Cheerleaders for Failure.

The Albuquerque Journal interviewed Latino voters during and after Trump's visit to New Mexico. What the Journal found falls in line with the latest Harvard/Harris poll, which shows that a majority of Latinos support Trump's efforts regarding immigration and the wall.

The Albuquerque Journal interviewees wanted illegal immigration to end, wanted the wall to be completed, and also wanted LEGAL immigration to be reduced in order to help raise wages for US citizens. The wall, security, safety, America First, Trump's love of country were all themes repeated by those interviewed.

It is becoming increasingly common for Latino voters, who usually vote Democrat, to support Trump on his immigration policies -- all of his policies. The shocking result is that this has been especially true for those born OUTSIDE of the US. These naturalized citizens went through the LEGAL immigration process, and they expect everyone else to do the same -- not cut the line illegally.

These numbers are not good news for the open-borders Socialist Democrats, who also want to increase legal immigration. Latinos rank "increasing immigration" as #2 on their list of MOST UNpopular issues.

Latinos
73% against illegal aliens voting
56% favor denying green cards to welfare recipients
65% against welfare for illegal aliens

Latino voters recognize that their sacrifice and hard work to become citizens came with a price. They came legally and followed the law. They are incensed that their tax revenue would be used to reward illegal behavior.

What is missed by many of the willfully blind TDS sufferers is that Trump received more Latino votes in 2016 than backstabber and loser McRomney (who had great history with Mexico) received in 2012. This is a startling result considering all the efforts made by the media to paint Trump as a Latino-hater and racist. Trump still got over 30% of the Latino vote in 2016.

Get ready. Latino Americans -- LEGAL Latinos -- are poised to pass Black Americans as the largest voting minority in the US by the time the 2020 election is held.

The latest Gallup Survey shows that Democrats believe there will be a recession next year. The survey does not qualify whether they actually think it or are hoping for it as an opportunity to GET TRUMP.

Despite what Democrats believe, their view contrasts greatly with real life economic data and indicators.

However that intense pessimism of Democrats dragged down the results of the entire Gallup Poll on Consumer Confidence. Of course it would ... Doom & gloom will do that. The Consumer Confidence Index from Gallup is at its lowest level since January, BUT still much higher than it was for a DECADE before Trump.

An interesting statistic is that in the most recent poll, 15% of all respondents rated the economy as "excellent." During Bayrack's presidency, it averaged 1%. Yes, ONE percent on average rated Bayrack's economy as "excellent."

Only 14% of the respondents in the current poll rate the economy as "poor," which is close to an all-time record low.

In another startling contrast, 28% rated the economy "poor" in Bayrack's last year in office.

Now that I've been made aware of these statistics, it's easy to see that not even The People -- Main Street -- were aware of all of Obama's good economic results.

And while the critics continually focus on things that come and go every day -- mostly fueled by a proven biased media -- "America First" marches on successfully.

The LIB Thug Mob called GWB stupid and racist and a war criminal until McCain was the candidate. It all shifted to McCain, but the LIB Thug Mob added "mean and angry." Then McRomney became the candidate, and the LIB Thug Mob added "evil heartless rich guy." All through Bayrack's 8 years, everything bad was GWB's fault.

It's only natural and follows the pattern for TDS to have such a great impact because Trump did something losers like McCain and McRomney refused to do -- fight. That translated into victory for Trump. He was willing to fight the Establishment, fight the biased media, fight for America and fight for The People.

Because he gives LIBs a dose of their own medicine, they hate Trump even more. Because Trump has kept so many promises and achieved so much in less than three years, LIBs hate Trump even more. His rallies get bigger -- inside and even outside. LIBs hate Trump even more.

It's only natural that all the hate and vitriol would shift to Trump. So what? We've seen this propaganda before -- even with Goldwater, Reagan and GHWB.

All still true today. I detested McCain then and now -- even to his grave. Lesser of two evils. Didn't fight for the job or us. That's why people stayed home. Same true for McRomney.

My repeating what LIBs thought of McCain -- or anyone else -- is certainly not any endorsement of McCain from me.

He was a NGRSOB then and now.

You know - if the "LIBS" who were saying all those awful things about McClain were a "Thug Mob", what does that make the "CONS" who were saying similar things? :-k

Don't worry about answering - the question is rhetorical. :D
