Uh oh. Joebama is losing Leftist media support. You know it is really bad when that happens.

Far-Left Daily Beast Turns on Joe Biden: “Progressives, Moderates, Republicans—Nobody Trusts Joe Biden”
Having started 2021 full of optimism, Joe Biden ends the year having disappointed progressive Democrats like AOC, moderate Democrats like Joe Manchin, Republicans who crossed party lines to support his policies, and the American people (and that’s not to mention the people of Afghanistan).

Other than that, he’s doing great!

Democrats worry the wave of House retirements hasn't peaked yet

In just a week's time, the number jumped from 19 to 23; and there are some in the Senate too.
So far, 23 Democratic representatives have said they won’t seek re-election, including five in December alone. Three of them — Stephanie Murphy of Florida, Lucille Roybal-Allard of California, and Albio Sires of New Jersey — made their announcements just in the last week…

Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., the chair of the House Democratic Caucus, brushed off concerns about the flood of departures, saying they were to be expected because it’s a redistricting year.

“I don’t believe it has anything to do with our prospects in 2022,” he told reporters last month. “We’re going to hold the House, and we’re going to grow a majority. We’re going to do it because of extraordinary leadership.”…

According to the Cook Political Report, five House seats are considered Democratic toss-ups in the upcoming election and seven districts lean Democratic, while two GOP races are viewed as toss-ups and four lean Republican — numbers that could change as redistricting continues.
Obama went so far Left in his 8 years that Democrats lost over 1,000 seats at all three levels of government. History is repeating itself.

Texas Democratic Rep Says Kamala Harris Ignored His Concerns on the Border Crisis

The Democrat Communists either think that Democrat voters do not care about illegals flooding the country, or the Democrat Communists do not care what Americans think.
On Thursday, The New York Times published a report claiming that Vice President Kamala Harris ignored Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar’s (TX) phone calls to her office about the ongoing border crisis.

The Times’ report, “Heir Apparent or Afterthought? The Frustrations of Kamala Harris,” detailed Harris’ role in the Biden administration since assuming office in January. One of Harris’ top priorities, the ongoing immigration crisis, was a major concern for many Republican and Democratic lawmakers. But, the Times’ notes that some Democrats say their “frustrations run deeper” with Harris over the issue, including Cuellar.

Cuellar, who has represented Texas’ 28th congressional district since 2005, has repeatedly raised concerns about the unprecedented number of migrants crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. His district covers a portion of the southern region of the state, including miles of international border.

In the Times’ report, Cuellar said that ahead of Harris’ trip to the border this past June, his staff phoned her office to offer guidance ahead of her visit. However, his office did not receive a response. Cuellar told the Times that “she [Harris] doesn’t look like she’s very interested” in securing the border, and that he now goes to the West Wing with concerns on the issue.

“Overall, our data provide strong evidence that SARS-CoV-2 infection in humans robustly establishes the two arms of humoral immune memory: long-lived BMPCs and memory B cells,” the researchers noted. This is perhaps the best available evidence of long-lasting immunity, Radbruch and Chang explained, because this immunological memory is a distinct part of the immune system that’s essential to long-term protection, beyond the initial immune response to the virus:

“In the memory phase of an immune response, B and T cells that are specific for a virus are maintained in a state of dormancy, but are poised to spring into action if they encounter the virus again or a vaccine that represents it. These memory B and T cells arise from cells activated in the initial immune reaction.

The cells undergo changes to their chromosomal DNA, termed epigenetic modifications, that enable them to react rapidly to subsequent signs of infection and drive responses geared to eliminating the disease-causing agent.

B cells have a dual role in immunity: they produce antibodies that can recognize viral proteins, and they can present parts of these proteins to specific T cells or develop into plasma cells that secrete antibodies in large quantities.

About 25 years ago, it became evident that plasma cells can become memory cells themselves, and can secrete antibodies for long-lasting protection. Memory plasma cells can be maintained for decades, if not a lifetime, in the bone marrow.”

In addition, in 2020 it was reported that people who had recovered from SARS-CoV — a virus that is genetically closely related to SARS-CoV-2 and belongs to the same viral species — maintained significant levels of neutralizing antibodies at least 17 years after initial infection. This also suggests that long-term immunity against SARS-CoV-2 should be expected. Ellebedy even said the protection is likely to continue “indefinitely”:

“These [BMPC] cells are not dividing. They are quiescent, just sitting in the bone marrow and secreting antibodies. They have been doing that ever since the infection resolved, and they will continue doing that indefinitely.”

Denmark Vaccination Effectiveness Study Shows Interesting Result, Deserves Much More Inquiry

Image

A Denmark study of vaccine effectiveness (VE) to “prevent infection“, and that’s a key point, shows both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine benefits essentially disappear after 90 days to six months. [Study pdf Here] Now, some people are interpreting the bottom line result to say the vaccine makes you more susceptible to Omicron variant infection after the 150 day point [SEE HERE]. However, I’m not sure that’s the key takeaway.

The data does show that during the 91 to 150 day waning period of vaccine effectiveness, the vaccinated group who used Pfizer were 76.5% more likely to be infected with a variant versus the unvaccinated population. And the vaccinated group who used Moderna were 39.3% more likely to be infected with a variant versus the unvaccinated population. [Note, all natural immunity groups (previously infected) were removed from the study]

Yes, the study shows the vaccinated groups are more likely to be infected with Omicron than the unvaccinated population.

However, ¹if the Pfizer vaccinated group within the total population is at or near 76%, and ¹if the Moderna vaccinated group within the total population is at or near 39%, then what this Denmark study actually shows is a non-existent benefit from vaccination toward the Omicron variant. Not, and I repeat NOT, a finding that the vaccination itself makes you more prone to infection from Omicron.

What we need to know is how many people in the total population are vaccinated, AND what percentage of that total vaccinated population used Pfizer and Moderna.

If the total population Omicron infection rates for both Pfizer and Moderna groups mirror the vaccination rates for Pfizer and Moderna, then the vaccine effectiveness is nil for the prevention of Omicron infection. To me, that seems the most likely scenario.

The study conclusion is that booster shots are needed and provide essentially a 54.6% reduction in the risk of Omicron infection for Pfizer, and a (small sample) 82.8% reduction of the risk of Omicron infection for the Moderna group.

Obviously, more data is needed before this Denmark outcome can be accurately interpreted.
Once vaccinated, it looks like boosters forever.

VP Kamala Harris Lets China Off the Hook for Covid, Says ‘It’s No One’s Fault’ That It Came to United States

Even Democrat voters know that the CCP is behind it all.
Vice President Kamala Harris essentially absolved China of all responsibility for Covid-19 coming to the United States, whether it be for a Wuhan lab leak or for the cover-up of the virus, potentially for months in 2019.

Appearing on “Disgrace the Nation,” Harris told Margaret Brennan that she did not believe anyone was to blame for Covid-19.

Ka-Ma-La cannot cut it even with help.

No one wants her to follow Joebama in the White House. Not even Democrats.

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/bl ... miserably/
Sunday Talks, CBS Continues Trying to Rehab Kamala Harris, Fails Miserably
The most unqualified person to be installed in the position of Vice President is struggling badly. Several attempts to rehabilitate her public image have failed miserably. A new team was hired to try and rebrand her image, that too failed miserably. Kamala Harris is a profoundly unserious person with few intellectual skills, and she requires constant assistance. It must be very frustrating for those around her.

Today, CBS correspondent Margaret Brennan tries once again to elevate the image of Harris and fails. You cannot create in someone a skillset that is light-years from their disposition. Everything becomes a transparent pantomime, a performance of bad acting with a person who has not rehearsed, doesn’t know the plot, has not read the script, has spent no time with the other actors, and yet attempts to produce a performance.

The interview is lengthy, but I want to just draw your attention to a two minute segment that will highlight everything. Listen to Kamala Harris discuss the current status of the Build Back Better bill, and the connected inflation that legislative spending creates. [From 4:56 (prompted) to 7:00] WATCH:

That word salad of nothingness perfectly encapsulates Kamala Harris. She has absolutely no idea what she is trying to say, because she has absolutely no idea what she is trying to talk about. It’s not an issue of her being merely unqualified, the problem is much bigger, she’s completely clueless. The team around her cannot make something out of nothing.

What I am describing above is not just visible to critics like you and me. The problem for Biden and Harris is that the majority of Democrats see Harris in exactly the same way, look at the comments section on YouTube. Only corporate media and far, far left social justice types -who pretend not to know things- are supportive. That’s why Harris could only gain 3% support from the Democrat base in the 2020 election.

Dems shoot themselves in the foot to signal displeasure with Manchin

Since Leftists know nothing about guns, you would expect this to happen.
As far as today’s Democrats are concerned, voting Republican is just one more pathology that afflicts the toothless hillbillies of their imagination. They are perplexed — or at least pretend to be perplexed — by the fact that there are poor and struggling Americans who do not instinctively turn to welfare-statism as the answer to their problems, who are uneager to sacrifice either their values or their liberties in exchange for a government check. Democrats have responded to this by elevating the needs of the relatively well-off to the top of their agenda, which is why they spend so much time talking about the terrible burden of student loans for young lawyers and underemployed Haverford graduates. You won’t hear them offer anything like a serious solution to the public-education crisis in Los Angeles or Milwaukee — those well-paid teachers are a core part of the Democratic base, and semi-literate high-school dropouts do not vote in large numbers.

It is likely that Senator Manchin either will become a Republican or will be replaced by one, eventually. At only 74 years of age, he is a spring chicken by the standards of current Democratic leadership: President Biden is 79, Nancy Pelosi is 81 (her hair is 46), and Dianne Feinstein is within spittin’ distance of 90. But he isn’t going to be in the Senate forever. Because the Senate gives equal representation to the less-populous rural states and the densely populated urban states, it is always going to be a problem for Democrats. Strangely, Democrats seem, at the moment, intent on making it a bigger problem for themselves. Further shrinking the universe of possible electoral coalitions may pass for smart in the great echoing expanse of insipidity between Bette Midler’s droopy old ears, but it is a losing strategy.
Everything Democrat Communists do tends to backfire all over them. It is what they do. They have history in that regard.

Constitutional Expert Speaks Out On How Biden Is Using The FBI

Joebama's FBI is pronounced STASI.
That is according to constitutional expert Jonathan Turley, who has written about the president’s access to the federal system under the headline, “Biden’s Praetorian Guard? The Ashley Biden investigation raises new questions over the use of the FBI.”

“There is, however, one allegedly stolen item that did bring a full-scale FBI investigation: the missing diary of Ashley Biden, daughter of President Joe Biden,” said Turley, the Shapiro Professor of Public Interest Law at George Washington University.

“The question is why tens of thousands of dollars of purses stolen in cities like Chicago are treated as purely local matters while a single missing diary in Florida is a matter of an ongoing federal effort.”

“I am more concerned that for over a year, the FBI has been conducting raids, issuing subpoenas, and questioning witnesses across the country — not in response to smash-and-grabs proliferating around the country, but for one woman’s missing diary. The investigation led to a rare raid on the home of a publisher, seizure of computers and cellphones, and the targeting of conservative figures,” Turley explained.

He said, “This is not a new concern with the Bidens. Federal officers were also used when Hunter Biden’s gun was thrown into a trash bin in Wilmington by Hallie Biden, widow of Hunter’s deceased brother and who was then in a relationship with Hunter. Secret service agents reportedly appeared in the case and asked for the paperwork for the gun from the store where it was purchased. It is still not clear why.”

He said the case is about “a rotten act of someone with pecuniary or political motives, or both.”

The same people who imagined and hoped for evidence against Trump (when there was zero), ignore all the evidence against Joebama and Election Fraud. Leftists never allow facts to cloud their narratives.

Sowing Winds and Reaping Whirlwinds

It is called KARMA in some circles. Or payback is a b*tch. Democrat Communists always do it to themselves.
Joe Biden, first as a candidate and then in the White House, from the outset saw the COVID-19 pandemic mainly as a means of leveraging political support, from the manner in which the lockdowns allowed him to run a virtual campaign from his basement to equating Donald Trump with the COVID-19 virus.

Like many on the Left, Biden was overt in such cynicism. So were Hillary Clinton, Gavin Newsom, and Jane Fonda—who claimed that COVID was a “never-let-a-crisis-go-to-waste” moment. Panic and lockdowns could help achieve single-payer health care, or a recalibrated capitalism, or the end of Donald Trump himself.

At the height of the last presidential campaign, Biden in September 2020 declared that Trump was responsible for the then-current 200,000 COVID deaths: “If the president had done his job, had done his job from the beginning, all the people would still be alive.”

Biden felt no need to list details where Trump had lethally erred or had not “done his job.”

He did not explain how any president should be able to prevent all deaths from a plague. And in 2020, Biden certainly had no expectation that before his own first year as president was over the cumulative deaths from the pandemic would exceed 800,000. He would have found it surreal to even imagine that soon there would be far more deaths under his own tenure than during Trump’s presidency—despite being the beneficiary of ubiquitous vaccinations, new therapies, and antiviral drugs unavailable throughout most of 2020.

During the 2020 campaign, both Biden and vice-presidential candidate Kamala Harris also had cast doubt on the safety and efficacy of the Operation Warp Speed vaccines. They repeatedly implied that any forthcoming jabs would be tainted by Trump’s sponsorship.

Yet, later in office, both would publicly deplore any doubt similar to their own about vaccination safety or efficacy. Indeed, they equated remaining unvaxed to being unpatriotic. In addition, when Biden was inaugurated, he claimed that no Americans had been vaccinated. In fact, on some days under Trump more than a million people were receiving vaccinations.

Given that the new daily cases and COVID fatality rates had begun to decline shortly before Trump left office, and due to the growing ubiquity of the Warp Speed vaccinations, Biden gladly took ownership of the virus and boasted it would be essentially gone by July 4—due to his own rebranding of Trump’s vaccination programs.

Biden had assumed he could blame Trump for all 2020 COVID-19 deaths, while few would die from the pandemic in 2021, and that, again, he could take credit for the Warp Speed vaccination program.

But fate, not Biden, was the master of our COVID-19 destinies. Soon both the Delta and Omicron variants arrived, and we are now back to a Groundhog Day of possible lockdowns and mask mandates. Certainly, Biden would not wish a political rival to do to him what he did to Trump: question the efficacy and safety of the vaccines, blame Biden for more than 400,000 deaths on his watch, and claim the continuance of the pandemic was Biden’s fault alone.

Truth and Consequences
What’s the moral of Biden’s current troubles? From the Bible and the Greeks and throughout the Western tradition, there is a constant refrain of being wary of hubris, the lying and arrogance that are innate to it, and the divine power that ultimately levels things out.

Biden and the Left so despised Donald Trump that they lost all sense of moderation, of proportion, of logic itself. Thus, they find themselves in the current ridiculous situation of suffering the consequences of their own unhinged rhetoric and actions.

This madness was birthed in part because Trump’s newly calibrated populist Republican Party had the potential to permanently draw the working class away from Democrats. In part, they found Trump’s salesmanship and braggadocio repulsive and contrary to bicoastal manners. Partly his agenda had more success since any first term since Ronald Reagan. Add it up, and the result was toxic hatred and mindless rejection of the successful policies.

Biden’s undoing was claiming not just to be antithetical to Trump, but the antithesis of all that Trump did. His hatred blinded him to the reality that Trump’s record on Afghanistan, the border, COVID-19, the economy, foreign policy, energy, and regulation was in each instance either adequate or very good. To simply nullify all of it, and to claim Trump was an ungodly disaster, meant Biden’s own one-dimensional rejectionist policies had to be winning and successful. And when they were neither, he suffered not just the wages of failure, but of hypocrisy and nemesis as well.

This irony of blindly speeding over the cliff to one’s own destruction is not limited to COVID-19.

How did the once omnipotent, omnipresent Hillary Clinton descend into a caricature of a shrill, mean-spirited, and pathetic has-been? Even more so than Biden, she assumed that her hatred of Trump would excuse anything. And anything not excusable could simply be fobbed onto Trump as if it was his own doing.

Illegal to use a private, unsecured private email server to avoid government audit? When caught simply cry that Donald Trump encouraged the Russians to hack it.

Was Clinton’s “Russian reset” a failure? Was her campaign’s opposition research via British ex-spy Christopher Steele a dud and a lie? Then simply amp up the Russian collusion hoax, accuse Trump of being a Vladimir Putin asset, and count on the “friends of Hillary” in the administrative state to seed and fuel the lie.

Lose a supposedly sure-thing presidential election? Then blame the terrible, failed campaign on voting fraud, or on the Electoral College, and then claim the winner was illegitimate, while joining #TheResistance.

What Hillary Clinton could not abide was that the loud Trump had outsmarted her hip campaign experts, that his agenda was more applicable to the times and the national mood, that she was a nastier and more egocentric candidate than Trump, and that dislike for her grew in proportion to her public appearances.

Weapons of Self-Destruction
The military traditionally polls as the most popular of all major U.S. institutions. No longer. In a recent Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute survey, only 45 percent of Americans expressed trust and confidence in our armed forces. That is a stunning, almost inexplicable reversal—until we remember what has transpired over the last four years.

Why would our most esteemed retired generals routinely violate the Uniform Code of Military Justice in smearing and slandering the commander-in-chief between 2016 and 2021?

They did so freely and arrogantly on two assumptions. One, they were assured that the bipartisan establishment would applaud their political attacks and provide them legal and political exemptions in a way unthinkable had they compared, say, Barack Obama to a Nazi, a fascist, a Mussolini, a death camp jailer, a fraud, and a liar deserving removal “the sooner the better.”

Second, they were so taken with their stars and epaulets, their high public profiles, and their entry into the corporate monied class upon retirement, that the public would surely listen to their supposedly sage, insider advice.

Instead, their hubris earned them the opposition of half the country—ironically the half once most supportive of the military.

Just as importantly, the high-ranking officer class, fairly or not, was humiliated in Afghanistan. China and Russia now assume the United States has lost much of its prior deterrence. The Pentagon was seen as reckless and wasteful: gone in a matter of days were a $1 billion embassy in Kabul, a $300 million refitted air base at Bagram, and some $80 billion in U.S. weapons and equipment.

When the people looked for contrition, for apologies, for explanations, they got instead the opposite: generals blaming Biden off the record; Biden blaming generals on the record; the sense that China has reached parity with the U.S. military; the chairman of the joint chiefs apologizing for usually routine photo-ops with the president, unlawfully interfering in the chain of command, and claiming a pandemic of mythical “white rage”—all done with the full acquiescence of his superior, Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, another retired general.

Meanwhile, suspicion continued to grow that much of the woke agenda was fast-tracked through the military because it served the careerist trajectories of the compliant officer class. Again, those who felt their self-importance had earned them commensurate influence and power well beyond their tasks of ensuring deterrence and military preparedness, lost both influence and power—both for themselves and the military itself.

The Rot Spreads
The Green New Dealers assumed that by the sheer force of their own superior morality that they could abruptly curtail fossil fuel use, with little if any concern that millions of the lower-middle class depend upon inexpensive natural gas and gasoline for their daily survival.

After bragging they would end fossil fuel use in a decade, these same purists ended up begging the carbon autocracies of Russia and the Gulf Arab states to produce more of the toxic fuels they had done so much at home to curtail. The radical climate changers had little idea how unlikeable and unpopular they had become—not just because of their credo, but due also to their own hypocrisies, arrogance, and preening.

Black Lives Matter is similar. In summer 2020, it assumed the role of arbiter of all race relations. Corporations rushed to send it cash. District attorneys competed to drop charges of the arrested. Mayors stampeded to defund police departments. And criminals vied to commit crimes on the assumption that they would not be caught, or not be indicted, or not be convicted, or not be jailed—and that societies were culpable, not the criminals, for the damage wrought.

And now? BLM is polling even lower than Joe Biden and the U.S. military.

The lessons from these hypocrisies? There are natural, eternal laws that transcend personalities and are the ultimate adjudicators of right and wrong.

Good leaders acknowledge the talent of those they despise. They are not so obsessed in their hatred that they mindlessly fixate on the negation of unwelcomed success. General George S. Patton found General Bernard Montgomery a poseur, affected, and condescending—but Patton also appreciated that Monty was methodical, professional, and, as a defensive tactician, admirably tough and stubborn.

Churchill privately saw Charles De Gaulle as vain, exasperating, and narcissistic. But he publicly acknowledged that no other man of France in 1940 would have, or could have, rallied the defeated in exile, orchestrated a triumphant return, brought order to chaotic France, and restored French sovereignty, and, yes, chauvinism, to a defeated and humiliated people.

Republicans who joined FDR on the eve of World War II knew him to be vain, duplicitous, treacherous, and an egomaniac. But also, they conceded that he had the rare talent to galvanize the nation to defeat its enemies, and to charm and cajole the capitalist classes to produce weapons and goods as no other nation in history had done.

So, there were reasons why Socrates advised “Know thyself,” why the oracle at Delphi emblemized “Nothing too much”—and why you reap what you sow.
"For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind."
— Hosea 8:7

If Biden’s COVID Response Was a Gun, He Just Shot Himself
President Biden is implementing a six-pronged, comprehensive national strategy that employs the same science-based approach that was used to successfully combat previous variants of COVID-19 earlier this year. This plan will ensure that we are using every available tool to combat COVID-19 and save even more lives in the months ahead, while also keeping schools open and safe, and protecting our economy from lockdowns and damage.

Vaccinating the Unvaccinated
Further Protecting the Vaccinated (With Booster Shots)
Keeping Schools Safely Open
Increasing Testing & Requiring Masking
Protecting Our Economic Recovery
Improving Care for those with COVID-19

Today Joe Biden told America’s Governors, when it comes to COVID, you are on your own. Cristina Laila posted the story earlier of Demented Joe conceding:
“Look, there is no federal solution to COVID. This gets solved at a state level,”
Hhhmmm . . . Seems like someone else viewed it all as a state-by-state issue . . .
Let us be specific about the massive scale of this failure.

1. Vaccinating the Unvaccinated is stalled because a growing number of Americans now realize that untested vaccines do not protect you from being infected again. What is the point of getting a shot that does not shield you from the disease? Making matters worse is the growing evidence that some who receive the vaccine are dying subsequently from heart attacks and blood clots. Pregnant women in their first two trimesters are experiencing miscarriages. And professional athletes, particularly those playing soccer, are going down with pericarditis and myocarditis.

2, Further Protecting the Vaccinated? What a macabre joke that has become. Two weeks ago in my part of Florida, 85% of the people with COVID in the ICU were unvaccinated. Today, that number is 74%. Do you understand the trend line? MORE VACCINATED people are getting sick with COVID, including those with boosters. You can only lie to people so long before they get fed up with your mendacity and shut you out. That is one of the terrible legacies that Joe Biden has created.

3. Keeping Schools Safely Open? The onslaught of the new COVID wave in northern, blue states is ginning up new mandates to shut down in-class learning. The COVID generation of kids relying on public education in urban areas will be the most ignorant, uneducated lot in the history of America.

4. Increasing testing and Requiring Masking? A strong percentage of Americans are fed up with mask mandates because the masks do not prevent the spread of COVID. If the masks actually worked according to Biden’s idiotic fantasy, then we would not be seeing the huge current wave of COVID infections sweeping through the United States.

5. Protecting Our Economic Recovery? How do you have a growing, prospering economy when supply shortages are shutting down businesses or COVID is wreaking havoc on airline travel? Then there is inflation roaring along. It is only going to get worse.

6. Improving Care for those With COVID? Pray that you live in a Red State with a Governor like Ron DeSantis. If you get the COVID in Florida you will have access to monoclonal antibody treatment, Ivermectin, and Hydroxychloroquine. If you are in New York or Massachusetts, good luck. You are likely to be deprived of potential life-saving treatment.
Yes, things are going to get worse for Americans and for Joebama. There is no good news for Americans with Joebama in charge.

"What I am finding is that West Virginia supports Senator Manchin in his decision to say this is not the right Build Back Better bill. I think West Virginians have found out the stakes are high and they come with high consequences. This bill has been proven to be inflationary in the short run. It has been proved and scored by the Congressional Budget Office to add to the National debt. It creates uncertainty for 53 percent of the parents whose children who are in religious based childcare," West Virginia Chamber of Commerce President Steve Roberts told Fox and Friends in a recent interview. "For us here in West Virginia it taxes energy production and adds to the cost of natural gas. I think all of those things cause us in West Virginia to say Senator Manchin is right."

CDC Changes Rules, Shortens Quarantine for Vaxxed and Unvaxxed, Cancels Any Self Quarantine for Boosted Group Even When Positive Test for Virus

Here we go again. It is no wonder that Americans laugh and make their own decisions.
We already understand that everything, e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g, about COVID-19 is driven by politics. No actions, lockdowns, mandates, rules or restrictions were ever driven by public health – if they were, the rules would not conflict with empirical evidence and outcomes.
So Joebama's warning about "the winter of death" is over already?

Someone must have fussed at Joebama over his federal surrender to covid. 24 hours later, he now says he has a plan for OhMyCon. Of course, it will cost billions more of American taxpayer dollars to institute it; and there will be tons of stuff in there that have nothing to do with covid.

And he wonders why no one believes him.

I Was Told Not To Answer Questions
Nobody can ever remember a sitting President telling anyone that he was told not to answer questions. Nobody can ever remember a sitting President whose staff had little confidence in allowing him to engage with the press and answer questions. That is until President Joe Biden. Joe Biden was elected President by hunkering down in his basement for the duration of the campaign. He had little contact with the press, traveled rarely, and usually only in Delaware and Pennsylvania.

I suspect the travel was because he came from Scranton and lived in Greenville, a suburb of Wilmington. He was familiar with his surroundings and could tell the time-tested stories of Joe from Scranton or Amtrak Joe. It made him appear genuine to his followers and lazy to his critics. But it worked. It got Joe elected President and Kamala Harris Vice President without ever vetted by the press or facing the public. Neither of them was tested, which is why we are in the conundrum we find ourselves in today. We have a mentally challenged President and an immature and poorly prepared Vice President.

We are nearly at the end of the first year of the Biden Presidency, and when it comes to press and public exposure to Joe Biden, not much has changed. Joe continues to be sheltered from questions, and Kamala proves inept to face the same. Thus the conundrum. We have never had two people in the two most powerful positions in the land, if not the free world, who are so ill-prepared.

The majority of those who voted in 2020 were duped into thinking Joe Biden was the man to unite our country and lead us out of the Pandemic. They were fed a story, and they never saw the ending. The ending is a country that was in a far better place before Biden took the reins.
There is no good news for Americans, and they see it. Even migrants crossing our borders see it. They fled socialism and communism. They are not going to support oppression and tyranny from Democrat Communists.

Nurses Blast New CDC Emergency Guidance That Allows Healthcare Workers Infected With COVID to Return to Work

In typical Democrat Communist fashion, they create a crisis; and then they solve it by making things worse.
Healthcare workers are up in arms over a new U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) emergency guidance that allows healthcare workers who have had “higher risk exposures” to COVID, and even those infected with COVID to return to work after a five day quarantine as long as they’re asymptomatic.

Nurses groups are condemning the CDC’s guidance as “potentially dangerous” for both workers and patients.

Earlier this month, the CDC issued the alert to health care workers across the United States as a “contingency” plan for anticipated staffing shortages due to the highly transmissible Omicron variant.

Uh, Congresswoman, I'm Not Sure That Option to Pass Build Back Better Is Legal

The Constitution is a hindrance to Democrat Communists. They are always intent upon ramming things down the throats of Americans.
Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) called on President Biden on Sunday to "use executive action" to deliver his signature climate and social policy legislation that's stalling in the Senate, after Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) rejected the plan.

What they're saying: "Taking executive action will also make clear to those who hinder Build Back Better that the White House and Democrats will deliver for Americans," wrote Jayapal, chair of the Congressional Progressive Caucus, in a Washington Post op-ed.

Jayapal said the caucus would "continue to work toward legislation for Build Back Better, focused on keeping it as close to the agreed-upon framework as possible" in an effort to pass Biden's $1.75 trillion spending plan.

She added the group would soon release its own plan for actions "including lowering costs, protecting the health of every family, and showing the world" that the U.S. "is serious about our leadership on climate action."

The Biden Presidency: A Horrible Accident of History
Biden is and always has been a mean-spirited, power-hungry creep.

You feel sorry for him? Ask the family of Robert Bork, who he slimed, slandered and destroyed during his confirmation hearings for the Supreme Court, if they feel sorry for him.

Ask Clarence Thomas and his family if he feels sorry for him over the attempted character assassination Biden engineered during his hearings.

Ask Sarah Palin over the way he demeaned and degraded her in 2008. Or Paul Ryan in 2012. Or Mitt Romney when Biden declared to a black audience that the GOP nominee wanted to "put them all back in chains."

Ask all the unborn babies that he now sits back and allows to be extinguished while still publicly grandstanding on his warped vision of something he thinks is the Catholic position on this despicable act.

Further, ask all the other Catholics in this country who now wrongly believe you can be a Catholic in good standing and your salvation is guaranteed while still supporting and participating in the intrinsically evil act of abortion. By promoting his false teaching on abortion, Biden is leading multitudes of others to damnation because they believe his convoluted nonsense about Catholic teachings.

Do you think Biden deserves your sympathy?

I assure you, it's grace he would never extend to you if you oppose him politically. Ever.

And now, this accident of a president has in just one year watched over one of the most disastrous economic periods of the last American century.

With skyrocketing inflation, out-of-control government spending, ever-expanding authoritarian controls from our federal government, and an incoherent, unscientific, and incompetent public policy toward the Covid-19 pandemic, Joe Biden's America has reached a depressing and nauseating valley of despair.

He literally proclaimed this week that certain Americans – the citizens of this country that he serves – are "looking at a winter of severe illness and death for the unvaccinated – for themselves, their families and the hospitals they'll soon overwhelm."

Joe Biden's presidency has been an awful, terrible accident that we now have to just get through until it can be corrected. At least now, thanks to the great people of West Virginia, the damage from President Accident has been somewhat mitigated, for now.

The Taliban's Year-End Gift From the Biden Administration and the UN
The Biden administration has just handed the Taliban terrorists now running Afghanistan an end-of-year gift. Lots and lots of money will be coming their way.

President Biden’s Treasury Department said on December 22nd that it was issuing new “general licenses” allowing financial transactions by the U.S. government, international entities, and non-governmental organizations involving the Taliban and members of the terrorist Haqqani network, subject to certain conditions. The money can only be used for such permitted purposes as humanitarian aid, civil society development, and environmental and natural resource protection projects.
The Biden administration also pushed forward a United Nations Security Council resolution making a “humanitarian” exception to the sanctions imposed on the Taliban. The resolution states that “payment of funds, other financial assets or economic resources, and the provision of goods and services necessary to ensure the timely delivery of such assistance or to support such activities are permitted.”

After the U.S.-sponsored UN Security Council resolution passed unanimously on December 22nd, Senior Advisor for Special Political Affairs Ambassador Jeffrey DeLaurentis expressed his delight. But this outcome was only possible after the U.S. agreed to a major concession in order to avoid a threatened veto by China and Russia. Language was removed from an earlier draft of the resolution that would have required the authorization of exemptions to sanctions for development assistance only on a case-by-case basis.

Giving in to the demands from China and Russia means that the Taliban terrorists will be granted a blanket exemption to sanctions as long as a noble-sounding label such as “humanitarian” is used as a justification.

“This carveout covers urgently needed humanitarian assistance and other activities,” DeLaurentis said, “that support basic human needs in Afghanistan, such as those that primarily benefit poor or at-risk populations or otherwise relieve human suffering, including activities related to shelter and settlement assistance, food security, education, livelihoods support, energy, water, sanitation, health including COVID-19-related assistance, nutrition, and hygiene, among others.”

In other words, the Biden administration is not just talking about allowing food aid into Afghanistan to prevent mass starvation. It also wants to fund a whole bunch of non-food related activities that the Taliban, as the governing clique in charge of the country, control. The Taliban also happen to control Afghanistan’s central bank, through which a substantial portion of funds meant to help destitute Afghans must pass. Expect at least some of that money to be diverted to paying for the Taliban’s military and security police activities, as well as lining their own pockets.
Biden-financed terror is not new. He was VP when Obama helped finance ISIS. Terror strikes everywhere in the West, it is not just a threat to the United States. Thanks, Joebama.

Biden's Troubled Relationship With the Truth – and Consequences
President Biden’s approval rating has plummeted, and Democrats wonder why. The United States is facing hardships, but hardships alone don’t make a president unpopular. Leaders who are honest about the problems we face and forthright about the solutions they offer tend to do well (think, say, of Franklin Roosevelt and Ronald Reagan). Unfortunately, that is not the leadership Americans are getting from this president.

Instead, the Biden administration has tried to convince the public of things that are not just untrue but implausible. To note a few, Biden did not (and does not) have a “national strategy” to defeat COVID; our southern border is not “secure;” the Afghan withdrawal was not an “extraordinary success”; the current bout of inflation is neither “temporary” nor “a good thing”; and government spending never takes “the pressure off of inflation.”
* * *

https://thebluestateconservative.com/20 ... from-over/
Biden’s Afghanistan Disaster Is Far From Over
Let’s stipulate that any facts we find need to be treated with cynicism. The administration manipulates the numbers to favor their narrative, as is the make-up of the refugees. We were told the Afghans were vetted before boarding, but we now know that to be false. We were told that these were people who had worked closely with Americans, but we now find that most have no English-speaking skills. Upwards of 80,000 refugees are relocated into every state except the District of Columbia. That exception is a classic NIMBY. The politicians making the decisions on relocation would never want a foreign group bogging down the resources they use.

The onus for finding homes for these people falls on religious and charitable groups. The government disperses then wipes their hands of them. These refugees have no say in their eventual home state and think of those lucky folks who go from the desert of Afghanistan to the tundra of Alaska. They have no money, job, home, cannot speak the language, and their children need to assimilate to new schools in unfamiliar locations. Welcome to America. Cities and towns also have little say in this process but need to accept the new burdens on already stretched resources.

We do not have any credible information about the remaining Americans in Afghanistan. This information void is frustrating and should madden every American. The numbers range from dozens to thousands. We took in 80,000 strangers before we assured every American was returned home safely. The priorities of the Biden administration are as disjointed as their poorly planned evacuation of Afghanistan.

Fortunately for Joe Biden, he has a complicit mainstream media that will allow him to skate on this debacle. There is no adjective strong enough to characterize the operation, but we are getting used to this level of performance with Biden. He has found every way possible to lower the bar, yet they still find a way to go lower.

Heavy Blue Toll: Law enforcement deaths hit record high in 2021

Another nail in the political coffins of Democrat Communists.
More police officers have died in 2021 than any other year in U.S. history, according to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund.
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) data shows 70 police officers have been feloniously killed in 2021, an increase of more than 50% in one year. A November FBI report stated that unprovoked attacks, where an officer is killed without having had official contact with the offender, "continued to outpace all other circumstances of felonious officer deaths."

"Ambush-style attacks" were up 126% at the beginning of December from the previous year, the Fraternal Order of Police reported.
Crime rates across the country are skyrocketing as well. Homicides have risen 30% from 2019 to 2020, according to provisional CDC data. Murders increased even more in 2021. Twelve cities hit homicide records in December 2021, according to ABC News.

“Nobody’s getting arrested anymore," former New York Police Department detective Robert Boyce said. "People are getting picked up for gun possession, and they're just let out over and over again."

Many officers quit following the 2020 summer of riots associated with Black Lives Matter after the death of George Floyd. One study over the summer found that "Officers resigned at a 279% increased rate."

I have to side with Officer IC Ship's Guns on this one, although I also have to say the vast majority of Americans I have known were not egotistical.
It would be catastrophic if Putin's puppet were to return to power after Sleepy Joe and the Democrats nodded off at the helm in 2024. What's more concerning is the lack of charismatic Democrat Presidential candidates available to run in the future campaign. Who would an American consider to be a decent Democrat front runner?

CNN Wakes Up to Biden's Failure on Covid-19

Uh oh. CNN piling on Dear Leader.
In a piece published Tuesday, White House reporter Stephen Collinson criticized the Biden administration’s handling of Covid-19 at-home testing—the need for which should have been predictable as winter approached.

“President Joe Biden and his team repeatedly promised more Covid-19 testing, including at-home kits that deliver rapid results, but they are now admitting a virus that is more adaptable than the politicians who fight it has outpaced them again,” he writes.

The president admitted his administration’s failure during a phone call with governors this week, saying more should have been done to make testing kits available as the holidays approached.

Last week, he pledged to distribute 500 million kits, but distribution won’t begin until January—“which will be too late to help this week’s holiday crunch.”

Here We Go, Kraft Heinz Tells Grocery Retailers Price Increases Beginning 2022 Will Be Up to 20 Percent

Image
Keep in mind a few points:

(1) The outlined price increases noted are against current price terms and contracts. Meaning, these are price increases from right now to the next fulfillment. These are not inflation price increases which are compared to a year ago. These are 5% to 20% increases from the current price right now.

(2) The price increases are not the final price increase. This is the price of a contract today from the field to the distribution center. The retailer also has additional price increases (transportation, energy, labor, etc) which they need to add to the wholesale price before you see the final price at retail (grocery store).

The final field to fork price is not yet known but will be higher than noted above. We are only seeing the notifications from field, through processing and into warehousing and distribution.

Additionally, the more an item needs to be processed, the higher the price increase will be. Food items that require multiple raw materials, ingredients and bases for processing (ex. condiments), when combined with increased packaging costs (oil, energy), will be much higher than foods with less processing, handling and packaging.

This has always been the nature of this specific supply chain.

Flying Blind In Afghanistan
It will come as no great surprise to anyone who has had to listen to Joe Biden’s incoherent ramblings for the last year, that none of what he said in July about our ability to control the growing terrorist threat in Afghanistan from “over the horizon” was true. There is no such capability. There will not be any such capability, and the threat is very, very real.

The Biden administration’s primary response to any and all national security threats is to pretend they do not exist. This has certainly been the case in regard to Afghanistan and the Taliban. The party line in the Biden administration is that the guys who just took control in Kabul, many of whom are members of officially designated international terrorist groups, are really kinder, gentler versions of their old selves – intent on gaining international acceptance and joining the club of civilized nations.
Joebama made that: Talibanistan - a terrorist superstate.

It's Joe Biden's Pandemic Now

Lies always catch up.
According to the New York Times, new coronavirus cases topped 488,000 on Wednesday — a daily record and another milestone marking the abject failure of Joe Biden’s administration to fulfill its promise to defeat COVID-19.

“I’m never going to raise the white flag and surrender. We’re going to beat this virus. We’re going to get it under control, I promise you,” Biden said a few days prior to the election.

Biden is singing a different tune today, admitting that there’s “no federal solution” to solving the pandemic. It sure looks like a “white flag” to an awful lot of people as the president careens from one “plan” to the next to combat the pandemic.

He had a plan to get the virus under control in his first 100 days. It failed. He said if we spent $1.9 trillion on the American Rescue Plan we’d be well on our way back to normalcy. We still aren’t close. He developed a “Six-Step Plan” that failed. And his latest plan to get the virus under control is already failing because someone forgot to tell the president before he promised 500 million quick result COVID tests that they hadn’t even been ordered yet.

Are you detecting a pattern here? Total failure.

Surge In Dem Congressional Retirements Comes Ahead of New Year’s Day

The number in the House is now up to 23. At least one in the Senate (but one or two more are likely). Democrat Communists are in big trouble.
A trio of Democrats in the House of Representatives – Reps. Stephanie Murphy of Florida, Lucille Roybal-Allard of California, and Albio Sires of New Jersey – last week said that they’ll retire at the end of next year rather than run in the 2022 midterm elections for another term in Congress.

The latest news brought to 23 the number of House Democrats who are retiring or bidding for another office rather than run for reelection in 2022, when their party tries to defend its razor-thin majority in the House amid historically unfavorable headwinds and a rough political climate. The GOP needs a net gain of just five seats in the 435-member chamber next year to regain the House majority it lost to the Democrats in the 2018 midterms.

Maryland Doctor Shreds Biden Admin–Says People Will Die Because They Used Faulty Data

The truth always catches up.
A doctor in Maryland said he had to cancel potentially life-saving monoclonal antibody infusions for about 250 people over the last week after the federal government stopped distributing treatments made by Regeneron and Eli Lilly because they aren’t effective against omicron, even though the delta variant, which the drugs are effective at treating, was still dominant at the time.

The Office of the Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response halted the allocation of those two antibody treatments last Thursday amid the rise of omicron, which the CDC had said days earlier was responsible for 73.2% of all new cases.

But the CDC backtracked on that alarming estimate this week, revising it down to just 22.5% for the week ending Dec. 18, more than a 50-point drop.

The delta variant, which Regeneron and Eli Lilly’s treatments are effective against, was actually responsible for 77% of all new cases when the federal government stopped distributing those antibody drugs.

Now, one doctor says the government’s massive miscalculation cost lives.

“I am as angry as I possibly can be about this,” Dr. Ron Elfenbein, the medical director and CEO of FirstCall Medical Center in Gambrills, Maryland, told Fox News Digital on Wednesday.

“The fact that these people are so adamant that they’re right when they’re using faulty data and they’re using faulty logic and frankly statistical modeling that has never been correct, ever, throughout this entire pandemic, to look at this, is just beyond the pale…. People are definitely going to die because of this or need hospitalization because [health officials] misread the statistics.”

The Biden administration has come under fire for their stifling of therapeutics.

All they care about is pushing vaccines on the populace–it is costing lives according to many.

Ignored by the liberal media. New Yorkers are waiting in endless lines for hours in the cold to get their test kits so they can go back to work, school or visit family because Joe Biden took the Covid relief money and sent it to house unvaccinated untested illegals at the border.

They do this because they hate you — and because New Yorkers are dupes.

Groups Claim State Department Hampering Afghanistan Rescue Efforts
I could paraphrase a must-see Wednesday investigatory piece by National Review reporter Ryan Mills, but reading his scoop on your own is probably best.

During the course of nearly 3,000 words about the Americans and allies left behind in Afghanistan — including exclusive quotes — Mills comes to the disappointing conclusion that Antony Blinken’s State Department is actually hindering rescue efforts four months after President Joe Biden’s catastrophic blunder.

“Efforts by dozens of private rescue groups who have focused their energy on saving other American allies in the 20-year war — people who typically don’t have the paperwork for a direct path into the U.S. — have slowed to a crawl,” a crucial portion reads. “Leaders of some of those groups who spoke to National Review are pointing fingers at the U.S. Department of State. They say the State Department is doing little to help them rescue American allies, and in some cases it is actively blocking their efforts. They’re calling on President Joe Biden’s administration to do more to help them save the people they once served with.”

It's too much for my pea-sized brain, Desmond, I need something bite-sized I can take away with me to masticate while I'm running.

Oh my, I'm struggling to keep up. :(

Or Prayut with his former Friday night broadcasts to the nation.

History would seem to indicate that Goebbels had a bit more oomph than Prayut, and a lot more than Desmond.

Although in terms of the latter, Goebbels seems to have relied on historically comparable sources.

The little, bite-size chap in the leather cap and coat from Monchengladbach? Right you are.
