These days, the whole slickit beastie known as the Conservative and Unionist Party makes my skin crawl.

JR-M always came across as just another pompous oaf but for me, the one who takes the unprincipled idiot biscuit has got to be Nadhim Zahawi. Must be the flip flops of his forebears that influences him.

Depending on the hue of the media that reported her earlier demise, she admitted she broke the code before she resigned her position. Thus she is forgiven and eminently qualified to enter the latest fold.

Either that or the Tories are fast running out of credible candidates for cabinet making. Maybe they can contact KP's work placement agency?

Looks like Richie "the dog" had no choice but to use Braverman. If she (and her far right mates) had thrown their weight behind Bojo or eventually Mordaunt it may have sent the vote to the membership, and he knew theres no way he could win that.

News now she was accused and accepted the fact that she had made "multiple" breaches of the code.

Right wing politics/politicians - ain't they grand. :D

Where do you want to look - UK.... or USA.... or Oz.... or Brazil or .....

If there is any substance to the emerging stories about Braverman's behaviour, and the dirty deals that saw her reappointed to Cabinet at all - let alone the ultra-sensitive position of Home Secretary - Sunak needs to fall on his sword and ask Charlie for a general election.

Or perhaps Charlie could suggest it himself.

Dissolve parliament and invoke monarchist rule, the devine right of Camilla's handbag.
Alas the moment to usurp the irreparably damaged and morally bankrupt Conservative party has come and gone.

Seeing two witless Conservative leaders in the space of a couple of hours at Balmoral did Charles' mum in. We live in hope for a similarly unfortunate coincidence with Rishi and whoever survives the next round of Tory Whack-a-Mole.

Then Britain can rejoice in having the K!ng that everyone wants... and another gormless Tory flapdoodle in #10.

Although the Conservatives are opn the back foot as it were, I rather have them than the Extravagance and wasteful ness of a Labour Government who following on from Thatcher managed to squander all the excess in profligate ideas which benefited virtually no-one except Labour !!!!

Just been looking at my family tree ...... seems theres thousands before me in line for the throne...... but now only about 4 in front of me for PM

Perhaps they should change the "everyone's famous for 15 mins" saying to "everyone gets to be PM for 15 mins"

So Thatcherism was wonderful and served the British people well?

Maybe it depends on one's definition of "squander".

"better the devil you know than one you do not know"

what about, the definition of stupidity is to vote for the same rubbish again and expect things to be different

If Starmer is a liar, what the hell does that make Bojo, Lizzie Drip and Rishi Dog?

It's only the Conservatives voting among themselves though.

Time to stop this serial "austerity" nonsense of Tory rule that only serves to fill certain boots.

In truth years ago when the Liberal democrats started gaining seats and MPs many many British Citizens breathed a sigh of relief as it wasa before then either the Tories or Labour ( then being UNION ) controlled .
Sadly that thrid ideal lost is lustre when it dealt with a minority Labour govt and some of its members were way oput almost as bad as some current American politicians.
There really is not anyone else, when I dabbled in Politics I thought of being an independent but all that did was to ensure that if elected I would never have got any job important enough to make a change . So I went down the Tory route as I hated Labour with a passion and the Lib Dems were bloody useless.

So until there is a VIABLE alternative then I would always prefer the Tories as opposed to Labour who are funded in part by Unions who DO NOT SPEAK for Mr and Mrs average member of the public .

In Australia, and many other countries around the world, Unions consist entirely of "Mr and Mrs average member of the public".

Is the UK different?

Nobody votes for their chosen party's manifesto and policies any more. They seem to vote for anyone other than the party they unreasonably hate (while not knowing their manifesto and policies either).

Thus the extremes of both left and right are empowered and the middle ground lost.
