Very few politicians promise to raise taxes, but unfortunately raising taxes is what usually happens.

This was actually a plan to cut the top tax rate for the highest earners that got shelved with their u-turn. If there's any tax that's popular in the UK right now, it's this one.

The Tory's in massive uturn have reversed decision on tax cuts to the rich
[/quote]

They had to do something to stop their Party Conference becoming a hot-bed of dissent instead of a unifying event against a growing Labour challenge. Looks like Gove and Shapps, both either overlooked or sacked from the previous cabinet were working the fringe events from day one and generally sticking the welly in wherever and whenever they could.

Made for another wobble on the currency markets too.

Brilliant photos of Tory conference ..... at the same time as a photo of the main room shows dozens and dozens of empty seats, there is a pic of a "fringe event" ....(suggesting rejoining EU) where there are no empty seats, no standing room and people queued outside the door trying to get in .......... Even the Blue rinse brigade have finally seen through the Brexit lies

Charles being heard to say 'dear oh dear' when the PM rocked up to the palace has to be the understatement of the week, month even.

How long will Jezzer Hunt remain as Chancellor?

So far, the Tories have delivered 4 chancellors in as many months.

I am delighted. Makes Australian political stability as a wonderful blueprint for other democracies.

At the last count, there was about 150,000 Conservative party members.

Hope this helps with your depression.
