Meanwhile, police in in the northern Udon Thani province, near the Laos border, arrested 12 men yesterday for gathering and drinking in breach of thedecree on Thursday. Local officials went to a house Ban Na Sai after hearing about a group of men drinking together. Police say they were disturbing the neighbours by playing loud music from a car.

The men told officers that they were debt collectors but had been laid off due to the Covid-19 coronavirus outbreak. They said they were having a birthday party for a friend before they returned to their homes in Nakhon Ratchasima, Chaiyaphum, and Uthai Thani provinces .

The men at first resisted arrest, saying they only partied in the house, and didn’t go out anywhere else. This prompted police to call for reinforcements to arrest them. They’ve now been charged with defying the emergency decree and face a jail term and/or a fine of no more than 40,000 baht each.

What's it like out there today Jon, any quieter?
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Maybe they've moved it down the road to catch miscreants sneaking around the back way from town? They have been known to have a alcohol blow stop where the ring road heads east so maybe it's bollards-central down there now?

The PM did say that the total lock down would depend on there being no increase in infections and deaths... well that's how Khaosod English presented his statement.

They are still reporting new infections and new deaths daily so I reckon the mate's RTP relative isn't exactly Inspector Clouseau.

Yes, but unless she's on a China Air flight, she's buggered getting inside Thai air space.

(But I think he's just being exceptionally, cruelly cheap.)

Regardless if the numbers show an increase or decrease a total lock down will come in ..according to inspector Clooso

Well they did announce that was gonna be their response if the idiots wouldnt respect the curfew.

One dead before he had a chance to infect anyone

Wonder if they will count those shot as dying due to CV19

This is pretty worrying . Yes he broke the curfew , but was he carrying the virus , and who decided he was before they shot him .
After shooting thousands of alleged drug pushers and users , they must of been running out of who to use for target practice .
Puts things here in Thailand into perspective , does it not ? Even if the 24 hour curfew takes effect on Wednesday , as circulating now on Farcebook .
Anyone still thinking of the Phills as a good alternative to Thailand must be seriously mental . =;
