Trying to follow up on a rumor.

According to this site https://covid19.ddc.moph.go.th/en there are 10 cases in Udon. Can someone point me in a direction where I can get some more accurate info, eg. details, location etc.

Thank you.

^ Isn't that data the running total? That's the accumulated provincial count since March? The latest rule is any province or municipality that has more than 10 positive cases in the current surge, it goes red and into stricter lockdown.

My understanding is that any +ve's in the province get moved into isolation in the city. The only cases I read as confirmed were the fish merchant and his 2 kids in Nong Sung, total = 3. I have heard of at least 4 others tested +ve in various markets IN the city but think that's just gossip or misinformation.

There was a non-government website back last April that trawled the media and pinned the precise locations of each reported case but I doubt it has been maintained. I don't have the link handy any more.

Variant 202012/01 new Covid-19 in U.K. statistical analysis summary

As with all statistical analyses the conclusions may change as more data becomes available however the numbers in the analysis are large enough that the conclusions are reliable.

Risk of reinfection: no change, still 0.6% or about 1 in 1,000, Note, reinfected individuals are usually symptomless.
Severity of illness: no change.
Risk of hospitalisation: no change.
Risk of death: no change.
Increase in transmission: yes about 50% to 55% more transmissible.
Vaccine efficacy: no evidence of changes, no expectations of change, the vaccines target several areas on the virus that are unchanged.
The current U.K. PCR test does distinguish between the original virus and the 202012 mutation, so genomic testing was only needed as a confirmation of results.

In my posts all fees and requirements are the standard R&R but TIT and a brown envelope can make incredible changes YMMV.

I find it strange there has only been 63 deaths all year and the infection rate is still very low in Thailand compared to the UK where we are sadly having a 1,000 deaths daily and 50,000 infections everyday.
