There were planeloads leaving London in the hours before Tier 4 was imposed there. I would wager there are some that are still finding ways to escape. Since there's no tier system in Thailand, I think it's probably still comparatively easy to leave SS. Irresponsible yes but I guess fear and ignorance prevails everywhere.

There is a high correlation between low vitamin D levels and those who have serious cases of COVID-19, equally a good correlation between good vitamin D levels and not getting hospitalised. Dr Fauchi is taking 6,000 IU per day. This is not medical advice and you should check with your physician about a safe level of supplement. The older you are the smaller your ability to produce vitamin D.

Got it from the GF, 24 year old female that took a bus from Samut Sakon to KK tested positive yesterday.

It only reported this single case in KK, for now!!!
Let’s hope it stays that way, there was a girl on the Facebook marketplace yesterday saying she has returned from Samut Sakon to Udon Thani and was asking what she should do, I couldn’t believe people were being so polite with her, most telling her to isolate etc, she deserved a lot worse, fancy leaving a place that’s in lockdown.
New Years Eve celebrations have already been cancelled in Khon Kaen.

Good to see the Covid specialist practitioners are back on deck.
Nearly forgot it was a problem.

If you want to get vitamin D in udon.
Get off your backsides and away from the computer desk and go outside. Sunshine exposure is the best way to get a correct vitamin D result.

I think you'll find they're cancelled here too, I saw something earlier.

I noticed yesterday they have opened up a beer garden at the front of Central. In previous years they have also had food stalls and live music.
I,m hoping it's still going on Christmas Eve but bought some bevvies in Tops yesterday, to consume at home, just in case. :-k

Yes if it spreads they'll ban booze again I reckon, loads of farang in floods of tears like last time 555

Tip - if they say they're going to ban booze at midnight go buy a few beers if you need to!

Fresh fish seller at Nong Sung market has tested positive after visiting a high risk area near Bangkok about 10 days ago.
Market currently closed for deep clean & application of disinfectant

In my opinion thailand has managed to just delay the virus by 10 months and you can expect 2021 in Thailand to be the same as most of the rest of the world was in 2020.i wouldn’t expect the vaccine to be the silver bullet either.by the time the vaccine hits Thailand there will be many strain as it’s mutating faster than the vaccine can be discovered.thank god I had the sense to come back to the Uk and have free medical treatment, the vaccine, work.the thought of being stuck as a foreigner in Thailand and infected would of been very worrying.my advice is if your over 65yrs old or have underlying health problems is get back to you own country or stock up and stay at home and be very careful.it looks to me as the virus is super spreading through ignorance and that’s without 1,000s of infected landing in Thailand daily.
The only hope thailand had was to keep the virus out until the vaccine arrived but I’m afraid to say it was a long shot at waiting for that one.i would make the most of Xmas and new year as you’ll probably have the same Xmas as the Uk is having right now.good luck.

I live in a small village in the Non Sung district. The word around here is that a fish seller at the Non Sung market was found to have Covid and now the market is closed for cleaning. Supposedly he traveled to the seafood market area around Bangkok a few days ago.

The older you are the less capable you are of producing a high enough level of vitamin D for protection, even with sunlight exposure, oily fish and egg yolk are good ways to get some but probably even with all of that a supplement is still helpful.

Samuel i live in the North of England hundreds of miles from London yet 2 days later when london went into lockdown Cumbria had its 1st few cases of this new strain theres no way it could have spread that quick from london due to our location. So you cant blame the fish market spreader for this if its hit Udon its more likely someone likely local from a village transmitting it brcause most locals are not tested due to the price tag if 8k for the test so spreaders do not know fhere carrying the new strain.
