" “spent the last 24 hours lurching between cover-ups and cock-ups”. She added: “The Conservatives are fighting each other like rats in a sack and slipping deeper and deeper into the mire of sleaze. It shows breathtaking contempt for the country.”
FFS this the Tory party your talking about ........ it's physically impossible for them to go any deeper into the mire of sleaze, they got to the bottom under Ted Heath and have stayed there ever since

Ah! .... such eloquence, such incisiveness.
https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfr ... r-politicsThird, Johnson’s character. The prime minister approaches truth the way a toddler handles broccoli. He understands the idea that it contains some goodness, but it will touch his lips only if a higher authority compels it there.

Not sure of the provenance of that video, statts.
But in the real world, can you imagine for a moment the intellectual and political contest between Boris The Buffoon, and Merkel?

Oh dear! ....... having just read this:
https://www.theguardian.com/politics/20 ... rtains-row
Enquiring minds are asking who is next in line for the Tory premiership after The Buffoon inevitably falls on his sword?
Is there anyone with the intellect and credibility to lead the "mother country" out of her current dilemma?
ps as a small sidelight, who in the 21st century would name their son Wilfred?

Well I suppose it will put an end to the constant stream of Tory "U Turns"
We all know how much she hates having to apologise for every time she opens her gob and stcks her foot in it

Priti Patel?
Well, she has all the right qualifications for a tory prime minister. Conspiring with foreign governments (Israel), bullying and lying. Perfect material!

Re: A Scathing Indictment of the UK Prime Minister
She does appear to be lacking in the "lining own pockets with taxpayers money" dept, but there again she may just be very good at hiding it
Silly me, that can't be right, if she was good at ANYTHING there would have been no need for her to become a Tory MP in the first place would there

Most leaders seem to be powder puffs these days. Where is Thatcher, Ian Smith, Nixon, De Gaulle, Franco, Tito, William the Conqueror, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, Ben Gurion, Disraeli et al? England needs someone like that at the helm. Scotland needs the Bruce to make a comeback.

Re: Curtains for Bojo
Johnson got Brexit done. That's why he got the job. But it's done now so time to be done with him. He has NO redeeming factors whatsoever which, regardless of being twice as many as Starmer has, should not be an excuse for letting him stumble and bumble through the early, mission-critical years of a post-Brexit AND (hopefully) post-Covid life.Drunk Monkey wrote: ↑April 29, 2021, 8:38 amIt appears my Priti Patel ""quip"" wasnt fell received .. bearing in mind im out of touch with UK politics to a certain extent i only reccoed her cos she a bit of a milf ... and appears to have an edge and spunk... im still of the opinion Boris is the right man for the job despite his minor failings.

As for candidates, I would give Theresa May another crack at it before the quisling Gove.

You started it with your absurd Michael Gove postulation. There's a reason why he doesn't have a portfolio and it ain't because he left it in a bloody taxi either.Drunk Monkey wrote: ↑April 29, 2021, 9:38 amThats an early morning joke right Tam .. ???? or you been on the turps alreadytamada wrote: ↑April 29, 2021, 9:36 amJohnson got Brexit done.
