I've heard that the Chinese vaccine is free if you want it, Pfiser will be 2000 baht, Moderna 3,000 and AZed, 1500 baht. Can anyone confirm that?

Thanks Parrot for the info/update.I live in Non-Sa-At myself so better to keep a low profile.

Regular updates are appreciated. As a casual observer who rarely leaves home and even less, the village, this trend of numbers makes zero sense to me. E.g- 2-0-12-6-0-12 cases in Udon.

If there are 12, certainly those 12 have infected a midland ratio of 1.5 so really the next day there will be 18. Followed by 27, then 41, etc.

Mind I am not hoping for more cases since a vaccine is no where in sight, but does the math really make any sense?

Input appreciated.

So many different numbers announced at differing times its hard to follow and ive given up trying to figure out exactly whats what.. i am hoping for the day Udon has zero new infections and all the cases hospitalized are recovered and home..

I intend to treat myself to a can of my favourite beverage (Wexford Irish cream ale) when this happens until then im staying dry.

Pilfering the wife’s Leo bottles this afternoon, as it’s sunny and hot! I hope it doesn’t affect tomorrow’s numbers! Also rooting for zero cases in Udon!

Any idea where the new cases are located and where they came from?

From scanning the news, the most recent death was a 73 year old woman who worked as a house cleaner from Kumpuwaphi. She died on the 15th after 30 days of care. It seems that at least some of the recent cases are related to her case......a male relative tested positive and was admitted to Udon hospital today. The deceased was apparently working/caring for a ?grandchild? at the Supalai Pride housing area (just outside the ring road on the way to Nongkai).
If I come across something else on Udon websites, I'll post it here

She also reported attended a Bai Sri Su Kwan (folded banana leaves, shaman priest, strings on the wrist, lots of people kind of thing)

For Udon it is very easy. Every day at 2pm the health ministry releases data for 8:01am to 8:00am. This is the most consistent data to use as it is always for same 24 hour time period. On Mon, Wed, and Friday the provincial government has a press conference on covid situation in Udon.

Yes i have been following the numbers this way .. it seems the numbers reported provincially dont always match the ones announced nationally for the same place and time period ..

My 2 cents. Math logical, but doesn't take into account mandatory mask, temp screenings and hand sanitizers everywhere in Udon. Along with shops/malls seemingly doing a good job of sanitizing areas through out the day.

Also, public health officials seem to be doing aggressive contact tracking. Only issue I see being not providing more info on cases (case location and tracing data) to the public. Could be that info is lost in translation.

Overall, Thailand has done a great job at handling the pandemic imho!!
