ThaiTiger news reported covid cases in each province on a day to day basis.
5 or 6 days ago this has stopped...WHY...???
The same has been asked on the Thaivisa website.
One can only think that things are getting dramatically worse now thus no reports in the normal news..!!
I hope not but it does make you think as regards the true numbers..!!!

Being reported on social media 11 cases in or around the Ban Dung central food market yesterday 18th. Don't know the implications yet.

Yesterday the aisle for beer and liquor was closed (barricaded) at the Tesco Lotus Extra on the north side of town. According to an employee there, someone with Covid had recently purchased something from that aisle so it had to be cleaned and shut down for 3 days. When asked if that person walked through any other part of the store or paid for their purchase at the checkout, the answer was a blank stare. I saw no evidence that any other part of the store was closed. Perhaps the person was observed fondling their favorite beverage without a mask.

That had been noted and i hope its just a new policy and not being done to gloss over a worsening situation .. as the PM wants to avoid egg on face if we arent open up again in October as promised...

Lots of political in fighting in Bkk at the moment .. and a deflection even Taksin has been roped in via the Thai airways debacle years ago.

Many of the local markets are getting infections and closures for cleaning ... why ?? .. as one market is closed vendors from that market go to another and join fellow aquainted traders to sell their wares thus another market is infected .. or is it just poor covid restriction policing or both.

A valid point .. one would have thought this infected person must have used a trolley or basket , check out passed through other sections of the place .. check the CCTV and track the route taken. A head shaking blank stare seems to be the instructed response.

I'd be prone to believing info from the MOI versis Tiger or Thaivisa.......not that their info is incorrect, but it's not from the horse's mouth. All the individual province data is being reported through a variety of avenues.....and at this point, unless someone in the government has a kill switch, it's going to be hard to turn that data off.

Seems like the local markets are a real problem throughtout the province .. pleased i dont use them... pretty obvious even though vaxxed its still wise to remain vigilant and carry on essential sortees in to town only ..semi hermit still the way to go IMO
As a foot note
I was in the main post office today ..very busy with hundreds of people queing in and out collecting small blue boxes 6x4x2 inches . a constant stream of id cards sign n go, not sure what it was being collected ????? And im.too polite to be nosey .
Happy to say the section where i was maintained social distancing away from.the crowds.

In general roads were busier than of late .

I suspect there may well be a large number of Isan Thais even with more vaccines becoming available still choosing to go down the green route to counter covid .. seeing lots on the TV about places growing plants and capsules for sale.

The vaccinations do nothing to counter the Delta variant. And may make it worse.

The original Wuhan Flu variant has disappeared faster than a guy hitting on Al Capone's wife.

Amulets might be a better option.

Thanks for the regular update on the numbers, Kopkei!

Just a slight amendment to the syntax you are using, if you allow:

ในหจังวัด (73 cases yesterday) means 'inside the province', i.e. local infections

นอกหจังหวัด (19 cases yesterday) means 'outside the province', i.e. infections brought into Udon Thani province from other areas.

I hope this is helpful
