When looking at global death rates in 2020, the figure was around 3%. This was because the treatment regimes were often experimental, and many hospitals were overwhelmed. The Global fatality rate just for yesterday was about 1.8%. But yes, Thailand does seem to have got something right in its treatment, or has some other reason for a lower fatality rate ...
Perhaps its population is on average a bit younger relative to other countries. I doubt readers are very reassured by statistics that include the outcomes for much younger people. A lardy unvaccinated 65 year old farang retiree knows the Trump virus is a much greater danger for someone in his demographic in Thailand.

No you can't talk about that because this guy wants you to focus on his favorite statistic which happens to be a fallacious statistic for seniors and the sick.
Well . . . anyone can talk about it because this guy most certainly DID talk about it. And this guy mentioned it in the very FIRST post in this thread. Oh well. I guess some people "focus" on their "favorite" things.

In a literal sense, of course it can be talked about. Didn't mean to question your staunch libertarianism in that regard. I assume you are in Thailand so do you wear a mask?

You, however, just ignore the science that is inconsistent with your personal beliefs.

250% less? An impossible statistic, I think. Thai death rate about 50% less than global rate.

im not quite sure what he's getting at ? .is it the thai heath services are the best in the world ? or is he saying america has the worst health care system ?. As no one really knows the infection rate, we dont know how many have really been infected and we have no data on how many have died. then then this is just a pointless exercise . the liberal use of the word approximately gives it away as non scientific. a guess based on a lack of data, the words known unknowns come to mind. we know the virus is around but we don't know much else.

The numbers don't make any sense because you don't know how many people actually have/had the virus and I'm sure there are many countries that do not even report cause of death.

You mean the same individual who started the thread, "TH covid fatality rate currently 99+% and steady"? So apparently less than 1% of the population in Thailand is still left? Brilliant.

total rubbish, 70% of Thailand's population are under 50 years old, if like the west we had a higher aged population then numbers of deaths would be much higher. africa has a very young population and very few deaths . better get your calculator out and start giving a realistic number, not a childish simplistic one size fits all number.

Why have they closed all the schools if there is no threat to kids?
