Australian federal politics

Post by GT93 » July 22, 2014, 4:30 pm

I thought I'd start a thread on the entertaining topic of Aussie federal politics. I suggest we can use this thread for both laughs and more serious banter. I think this is very timely since tough Tony seems to be running a pretty radical outfit and crazy Clive is such a character. It's going to be an entertaining three years (or what's left of them).

I thought I'd kick it off with a Tasmanian Senator saying on the radio that her ideal man is both well off and well hung:

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2014-07-22/l ... io/5615164

I heard this story on the radio in NZ this afternoon. No wonder you Aussies make fun of Tasmania. Perhaps she's been watching too much porno?

Did you mean Aussie "feral" politics or "federal" politics?

Some feral definitions:
  • • existing in a natural state, as animals or plants; not domesticated or cultivated; wild.

    • having reverted to the wild state, as from domestication: "a pack of feral dogs roaming the woods."

    • of, relating to, or resembling a wild beast —used to describe an animal (such as a cat, dog or politician) that has escaped and become wild.
.... and from a thesaurus:
  • 1. wild, untamed, uncultivated, undomesticated, unbroken

    2. savage, fierce, brutal, ferocious, fell, wild, vicious, bestial
Feral clearly seems more appropriate than federal, particularly when bearing in mind comments that have been made from time to time on this forum about Aussie politicians :?
Ashamed to be English since 23rd June 2016 when England voted for racism & economic suicide.

Disgusted that the UK is “governed” by a squalid bunch of economically illiterate, self-serving, sleazy and corrupt neo-fascists.

The subtle joke is her "Map of Tassie "is in deed need of a trim,

Perhaps we need to protect old growth forests after all.

She is a sad embarrassment , but as a Bogan Senator, she gets headlines

Tasmania left off the Commonwealth Games Logo, she is demanding a cash package from the Mad Monk, to allow local business to rebuild from loss of tourism etc.

I cant see her or Ricky Muir, Off Road Party, being re elected, but then again, didn't expect them to be elected,

Their ring master PUP Palmer , must be laughing, sadly many Australians are also

3 years to go, F35 Fighters that cant fly, Navy kidnapping Civilians on the High Seas, LOL and Senator looking for a cashed up cougar !

Just wondering....... if a male politician had said his ideal (female) partner would be both well off and have a nice vagina
.....can you just imagine the hysterical feminist journalist in the Aussie press, and some of lady politicians calling for that male person to be dismissed immediately from parliament. Poor old Tony the Rabbit coped it from Ms Gillard, and the feminists wanted his balls on a plate....however when it is one of their own gender (the feminists) are not heard from ......just IMOHO.......cheers harpo.....

I wouldn't call her a feminist , but more of an AC/ DC Album - Ball Breaker

Having said that and with all the taking of various urine samples about Tasmania .

"
AC/ DC Web site today
Song Fact!
We'd been in Tasmania and after the show [Bon Scott] said he was going to check out a few clubs. He said he'd got about 100 yards down the street when he heard this yell: 'Hey! Bon!' He looked around and saw this leg and thought: 'Oh well!' From what he said, there was this Rosie woman and a friend of hers. They were plying him with drinks an Rosie said to him: 'This month I've slept with 28 famous people,' and Bon went: 'Oh yeah?!' Anyway, in the morning he said he woke up pinned against the wall, he said he opened one eye and saw her lean over to her friend and whisper: '29!' There's very few people who'll go out and write a song about a big fat lady, but Bon said it was worthy

I see Peter Slipper has been convicted. Greedy bastard. NZ MPs are paid heaps and I imagine Aussie ones are as well. I recall reading the Global Coal Ambassador is paid more than Obama. Some MPs such as Slipper begin to think taxpayers should pay for almost every expense they incur.

The Global Coal Ambassador has had a few set backs recently. He's now in a big spat with Vlad. Mad Tony and Mad Vlad like spats. NZ isn't on Vlad's list. It's probably deliberate as Vlad wants to buy food from less important countries. I can understand Oz being very unhappy with Vlad.

I love the fact that Mad Monk and his AG Branded have made a cluster of releasing yhe new IT policy on data storage etc for security issues.

We are going to track the envelope but we arent going to look inside. WTF.

Meanwhile the Min for Dots n Dashes was not consulted in all this but communications is his port folio..

Team Australia is heading for a new Playing Coach soon . Turnbull writing his new biography called Spycatcher 2. How o missed out but revenge is so sweet.

Team Australia. WT hell? I thought the mad PM had kicked young Aussies off the team because they were too lazy to be eligible for welfare. His Team Australia isn't as encompassing as he likes to assert.

I wonder why Turnbull was left out of the loop? Some of the senior Libs still aren't that keen on Malcolm. They're fools because they need Turnbull's eloquence and brains to promote their policies. It can't always be left to Bolt and the shock jocks including that angry fellow who was once caught loitering in a London public toilet ...

You're being very kind about Putin Ardie. I suspect you have a lower opinion of Putin than Abbott has of Gillard.

I missed this week that the Mad Monk said World War 1 was for a good cause. What a goose.

Now he's being compared to George Bush despite being an Oxford graduate:

http://www.watoday.com.au/comment/is-to ... 01em1.html

Ouch that must hurt. He's not exactly a good advertisement for going to the other side of the world to pick up a degree.

The last Australian Ambassador to Russia and Urkraine, has said, we should butt out , as these sanctions are going to hurt the Oz economy just as hard etc, Min for Garden Produce and Live Animals Joyce etc just wont say that, Saying they have alternative markets, well why haven't they already bought them on line ?

Former Ambasadoor saying its a European issue and we are now embroiled in this mess, all for the recovery of 30 off deceased. I said on the last MH missing flight we spend millions recovering memories , this lot has cost us $400 Million now in sanctions.

The pressure now on Mad Monk to allow him to Attend G20, it will be Rah Rah Rasputins first international event post MH 17,

I still say , don't let him in, but others say, let the International community have a go at him in Brisbane.

The guy is a hardliner, Don't really think he cares, he is aligning with China and has Europe on tap, literally.

Let the Unions delay his flight out of Oz, so he gets the picture

It should not be forgotten that in matters educational, Bush 43 not only has a degree from Yale but is the only US President to have earned an MBA and from Harvard Business School (or was it Skool?).

Sometimes it is hard to understand why the rest of the world is so hard on the Bush 43 administration #-o after all, it did help just about every other currency around the world to rise substantially................ against the USD

Yes I had forgotten Texan George had some qualifications. I'm kind of suspicious of them. Perhaps if you're really really in the inner loop of these institutions they just give the degrees to you.

Abbott can be as stupid as the best of us but I think he got his degrees on merit. Bush, who knows? Look how corrupted the US Congress is by lobbyists. Harvard and Yale might be the same in the inner circles.

November in Brisbane is going to be interesting wazza. I think Putin will front as he's an in your face kind of guy. So is Abbott. I hope the G 20 as a group decide to kick him out. I think he'll delay invading Ukraine, if he's going to do that, until after the G 20. He delayed going for Crimea until the Olympics had passed.

He'll defuse invading Ukraine as an issue by starting to destabilize one of the Baltic states. I read that he creates a new crisis to shift attention from the earlier one. Few talk about Crimea now that there's a crisis in Ukraine.

Australia has 31% of the worlds Uranium, and whilst the graph in the link below doesn't show Russia as being an importer of Australian Uranium, it probably is now ??

They would then probably put pressure on some dodgy exporting countries ( Kazahastan ) and if you read the link below, some countries with poor transparency and rife corruption, who would gladly swap a few KG of stuff for some arms ...

Look what Pakistan provided to Iran, an entire Nuclear programme and Dr Khan whilst under house arrest in Pakistan, still seen as a hero by many.
