Luk Thung bars/restaurants

Usually few farangs go to Thai Country Music venues (Luk Thung Bars/Restaurants). But, I was wondering if there were any good ones in Udon Thani?

The Western Pub across the road from the Napali Hotel is pretty good. Go before 10pm for country music as after the music is more rock based.

tawan daeng is very good venue for thai music. it will be loud, festive, with plenty of sing a long. nice night out. if exiting the mall or hotel (chaeronski grand royal), turn left, go to the next street 'T' intersection, watana rd, and it is on the opposite corner. very hard to miss. should be about 2 rows of motorbikes out front, gets kickin around 10 pm onward. enjoy
