Thanks for the heads up John. love the delicious and very fresh veggies on offer from this shop and the're surprisingly cheap compared to other suppliers .At last years fair they also had many pot plants that you don't normally see around in the nurseries, in fact mine that I bought are just coming back into flower again this year .

Well went in today, as usual an excellent choice of fresh vegetables at reasonable prices but for me the real find was fresh rainbow trout, bought half a dozen , worked out around 150bht each slight variation according to size .Never seen them in Udon before.

Also something new smoked pork steaks, 2 in a pack for 105bht .

Went in and bought some more trout today the only thing , no longer fresh as they have been put in the freezer, still a few left though but a bit smaller size so only 130bht each .

I bought a haul of these veggies to bring back to Vientiane. They tasted great, but I was a little alarmed to find that the red peppers (capsicum) I bought were still in perfect condition 2 weeks later - not a wrinkle. I can only imagine it was the Royal blessing that made them stay fresh this long, and not Vietnamese chemicals...
