Just another example of so many being behind the times. Womens' competitive uniforms started changing over a decade ago to be form-fitting. Track & Field and Volleyball led the way.

Don't watch what stings ya. Image

That means there was eye candy Brian or just great sportsmanship!
Both
I'm not in any way protesting :-" , but it continues to amaze me why the girls wear such small 'pants', particularly these days when there's increasing demand for, what's the word, respect. Normal size would not restrict their play.
Money talks. They can earn more money as a sexy sportswoman than as a plain Jane sportswoman.
Possibly, the earning of more money. But is that a good thing, the public display of immodesty? Especially as it was stated that hundreds of school children were brought in to see this event? What might be the affect of that, an exhibition that public immodesty might be or was acceptable in various sectors of society? IMO this takes some thought regarding what is being sacrificed in acceptable or traditional values for "more money."
"Public displays of immodesty"

Really?

I read there was absolutely no evidence of camel toes. Anywhere.

Maybe Brian, the "small shorts are bad" protagonist can enlighten us?

I think you must read my post again Tamada - i.e."I'm not in any way protesting". More a question of surprise in this day and age, when women are raising their voices about this and that and the players themselves don't seem to mind. Earning money from photography is a likely factor.

Thou dost protest too mutt...

I get your drift but all this #metoo malarkey is relatively recent and last time I looked, sports attire for the regular, national volley ball team isn't in any way risque. I am out of town so are/were these Udon beach volleyballers more akin with the 'cheeky' sorts I used to play with on the Copacabana when I were a lad?

There's a stunning, svelte, long-limbed, Kazakh ladies national team volleyballer who was quite a celeb in google searches a few years back. Probably married and shat out a couple of sprogs already.

Yes, there's quite a difference in attire worn by women in BEACH volleyball opposed to the regular game.

I am aware of that so what were the female players at Udon's beach volleyball tournament wearing?

Not a lot - at least the couple of teams (Poland and China, I believe) I saw warming up, in the brief(pun intended) time I was able to stay there.

Sunday's sightly sinful google search topic is:

Sabina Altynbekova

If only Kazakhstan had decent beaches, eh?

Pervs paradise !!! I can just see loads of dodgy old falang who never venture far from soi sleeze lining up with their tongues hanging out .
I went to watch the Jet ski thingy last weekend and was surprised how few falang were there , considering it was free , and well advertised .
They always moan how boring life here is , nothing to do , ect , ect , Yet when there is something on its always well supported by the local Thais but not farang . Nowt as strange as folk i guess .
It may surprise you, but there are male players in professional volleyball also.
Whatever floats your boat NKL. Im not one to judge . =; =;

For a moment I thought they'd covered the part of the pitch in sand, but see the volleyball area is at the side of the stadium, a distance from the main stand.

The Tessaban is providing transport for the players. Nothing but the best, a songthaew.
Players on the way to the tournament.

We didn't go this year, we really enjoyed watching the FivB world championships in Udon last year, but we found the drum-beating and chanting "Holay,Holay" to be far too much for us. We couldn't even hear the calls and announcements. That coupled with the announcer personality rattling on making jokes and talking about everything other than the game.
If we watch the games on YouTube we can turn down the volume.
