Tourist Visa extensions

Post by DRILLER » January 7, 2010, 10:44 am

guys....i just activated my 2nd 60 day tourist visa about a week ago & would like to do an extension.

questions...........

if i do the extension application here in udorn now, does the 30 day extension get added to the expiry date of my 2nd tourist visa or does it start from when its granted, thereby cutting short my 2nd visa??

should i wait until the expiry date of my 2nd visa or can it be done anytime without losing any days on the present visa???

In Nong Khai (I have not tried Udon) the extension went from the day that you went into the office to apply for it. So you should apply for it as near the "until" stamp in your passport as possible to maximize your stay. Do not forget that they are not open Saturday, Sunday or National Holiday.

I did it in Udon.
Had no problems, they gave me 30 days.
It is the secound time I did it. The first time I only asked for two weeks so that is all they gave me.
I went one day before the visa expired and they gave me 31 days from that day.
