Proof of UK income for Retirement Visa

Post by vidmaster » October 10, 2015, 10:10 am

Can you tell me how you obtain proof of income( I know what documents are required) from British Consulate.
Do you have to travel to Bangkok or is there a Visa Service that for a fee will do the trip for you
I lived in Pattaya & one of the Visa company's did a weekly trip to Bangkok for an all inclusive fee

I'm presuming you are asking about the Letter of Income from the British Embassy ?
You can do it by post useing EMS which is 100 baht included in the Embassys fee (check the Embassy site for current cost of the service....around 2,500 baht).
Just send the letter along with the documents proving your income and the Embassy will return them along with the Letter of Income within 10 working days.
I've been doing it myself for a few years now....no need to go to Bangkok or use an agent.
Just when I thought our chance had passed, you go and save the best for last.

You cannot visit the Embassy any longer to get the income letter, it must be done by post.
The following services are only accepted via postal application
