If I send my friend to report 90 day can I ....

I know I can send someone to report for me but; Can I give a copy of my passport n not original to do report. Cheers

In the past i used to just present the 90 day report form ,so my thought would be a copy no problem , also on another note , Thai law states carry your passport at all time's ,(so to give your passport to some one could also be deemed illegal )or if the 90 day report form is still available (down load ) then that should also suffice.
