Visa Exemption Extension

Post by Bonanza » October 13, 2019, 11:15 pm

I have a friend planning a visit from UK and wishing to stay for about six weeks. If he arrives and gets a 30 day 'Visa Exemption' at Bangkok airport, is it possible to get his stay (ie visa) extended at Udon Immigration? Has anyone actually done this?

Thanks :D

You can get an extension giving another 30 days on a visa exempt entry at any immigration office.

I haven't done it but I have never heard of it being refused.

It cones under section 2.4 of police order 327/2557

New question not related to this topic? I have to report for 90 day on Dec 30 2019 but my visa extension ends Feb 2 2020 what are my options? Can I go for my 90 day report 15 days early and the visa extension later in Jan 2020?

The 90 day report is up to 15 days early or 7 days late, if in Udon and your extension date is less than 90 days after you report Udon IOs have been shortening the 90 days to match the extension date.
