Trojan horse help!

Post by charley » May 2, 2006, 9:31 am

Hi

Could anyone please advise me how to permanently delete a trojan horse in my PC.

I have AVG anti virus loaded which I update & scan the comp regularly.

It always picks up then I delete this Trojan file. Yet every time I turn the comp back on and scan, the bloody trojan is there again!

Trojan horse Downloader.Generic.ISE

C:\WINDOWS\System32\Id84AD.tmp

after scan & clean it could be found again such as here:

C:\WINDOWS\System32\Id8C44.tmp

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Charley

Anti virus programs wont touch most trojans, although some do detect them.

Give this little program a try, it's free of course ;)

Charley,

Its in the registry and keeps reinstalling itself every time you start up. Try contacting your Virus programs support dept for assistance. If this doesn't work, visit Sophos.com and look in their virus library for the virus, may give you info on how to delete it.You sure don't want to be editing your registry unless you know what you are doing there. Good Luck
short time as in short time till I can retire
