How do I add an avatar for myself, please?

Treat me as a computer dummy, how do I add an avatar for myself, please?!

Go to User Control Panel (near top of this page)-------->Profile---------->Edit Avatar---------->Browse----------> find photo or avatar you like on your computer---------->Submit.


Easy peasy.

Click the 'user control panel' , select the 'profile' tab, edit avatar, browse your computer for an image (under 48k) and finally click submit.

Also, keep that image under 100x100 pixels, width x height.

I can't add an avatar either.

Even though I've resized the image to below 100 pixels, I still get this message:

"The submitted avatar is 144 pixels wide and 233 pixels high. Avatars must be at least 20 pixels wide and 20 pixels high, but no larger than 100 pixels wide and 100 pixels high."

Mods... help!
