Looks like the BBC has found a way to permanently block access to I Player via vpn.

This is the answer I got from my provider .Anyone any ideas to get it, I mainly use my vpn for that site?

I don't think what they are telling you is true Val - well, I know they are not!!
i-Player does now require you to register as a user & then sign on before you can view any program. The registration process requires that you use a valid address & postcode - the BBC then check that name/postcode/address against their register of licence payers.
I am unsure if they then refuse permission to view if there is a mismatch, or send a licence investigator around.
UK i-player viewers who do not have a TV licence can be fined up to £1,000.
Anyway....all that being said it is still possible to view i-player if you are legally registered, via a VPN, from Thailand.
I know because a just watched a few minutes of Silent Witness screened on 8th. January.
I did that using Firefox & the free Browsec VPN addon set to a UK IP address..
There was a fair bit of buffering before it started, but then it ran fine...

Thanks for that Bob, just downloaded Browsec and can get I player okay now , although I must admit when I tried last week it informed me "no Uk servers currently available and logged me into New York" The very next Day I got a Microsoft message that unusual happenings are taking place on my computer from US and service is temporarily suspended.Strange Aye?

I have also had similar from Google in Firefox after using Browsec free.
It has asked me to verify to prove that I am not a spambot.
The issue is, of course, that you are using an IP address that has previously been used by others & they may well have done suspicious things while using it.
