I would call and talk to Joe at Ruysuk, He would be good to talk to as he has classes and touches on the cultural side as well. 0857561818

We have our daughter taking a group class at Udon Talk on weekends. She enjoys the classes and the price is reasonable. I have also heard good things about AUA for adults from other expats. Hope you have a positive experience to share soon.

I can recommend AUA for adults learning Thai.
I have no idea about Thai adults learning English.

Usually the direction of instruction is commensurate. Good luck.

There are two English language classes at the library every saturday which are taught free. The classes are broken into two levels at the moment - beginners & intermediate. Classes vary in size based on the number of students. This is a "free-style" learning program in which students may come and go as they please. Obviously the more you attend the better the results.

Thanks for the replies, the Library sounds a good opportunity as the family usually go into Udon for the weekly shop.

In My opinion talk to her relentlessly every day situations are more Brain-stimulating than a Class Room what I consider are more suited for a advanced level , learning should be fun and no better way to reflect that is in every day life situations Buying food ,shopping, having fun, etc . My wife has never had a English class outside high School and can read write and speak English perfect she has just passed her Naturalization British Citizenship Test and it's all down to communication and having fun!!!

good luck

Another convenient place for both of you and your wife.

Consider Speak Out Academy @ UD Town.. They offer adults English classes with reasonable rates.
You can drop your wife at Speak Out Academy then you can go shop at Tesco Lotus or even walk around at walking street while waiting... it's a place where Udon people are spending most of their time shopping and eating.

If this is something you might be interested, contact them directly at 042-211-115

Another option is the English School of Learning on Sri Chum Churn behind Satrirachinuthit school. Very good rates and the teacher is an Native English speaker and his wife (Thai national) supports all the classes. You can contact the school on 084 034 0510
