Breakfast vendors facing Nong Prajak

Post by rct » February 8, 2013, 10:04 am

There are many morning vendors on the road facing Nong Prajak, focus on breakfast, inluding "Udon Thani fried eggs in pan with side of bread", the normal soups, "moo ping" meaning grilled pork, fish etc to eat with stickey rice, and lot's more.

My favorite is the juice seller at the far left, when lake behind you and facing the vendors. She or he whips up quite a variety of fruits and vegies, per the customer order, usually about 30 baht. For me she does a 500ml carrot juice for 50 baht with absolutely nothing else added, my daily routine. She usually sets up about 06h00 to 06h15, until at least 10h00.

Forgive me if a thread on this location already exists.

The Nong Prajak food vendors outside the TAT Office is one of my favourite things in Udon.
The pan fried eggs with pork sausage and the patango donuts hit the spot.
Udon Thani, best seen through your car's rear view mirror.

Yes my wife and I often eat there when staying in town. My only gripe . I can never get them to make me a less than sickly sweet cup of coffee.

Ah something I maybe able to help you with
I once was at a business meeting and asked for a small bottle of water. The person said he could not comply as teh rules had changed and escorted me to the NEW Large water coolers. Only problem no water supply yet or cups.
The fix I said please bring me a cup of tea. Do not boil the water and do not add the tea bag. side
Presto a cup of water appeared He was happy and so was I
Suggestion
Order a cup of boiled water with the coffee on the side with sugar also
Hope this helps

Thanks for that DD. Apparently after much discussion involving several customers , my wife and the vendor, I discovered that the sugar wasn't the problem but the milk was . :-" They use the tins of sweetened milk, not the normal condensed or coffee mate. So now I settle for a strong black one, better than nothing at that time in the morning.
