Because if I buy a 10 pack of hotdogs, I'll eat 10 hotdogs. I also like to support the local eateries.

Papa Farangs in Nong Sam Rong, http://www.udonmap.com/udonthaniforum/p ... 29438.html, sells Saveloy hot dogs:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saveloy
A saveloy is a type of highly seasoned sausage, usually bright red...
The saveloy's taste is similar to that of a frankfurter ...
Closest thing to an American style dog, that I've found anywhere in Udon.

I keep mine in the freezer, when I want a couple, I take 'em out of the freezer, and put the remaining dogs back into the freezer. Easy.
Or...I'm sure Papa Farang would cook you up one or two. Plus, his hot dog buns are excellent. And he makes a good chili. IMO.

I like the hot dogs at 7-11. They microwave them to order. Plenty of condiments to put on the hot dog but might be lacking piccalli and relish. I would imagine 3 or 4 places will have a special on hot dogs next week.
No man has a good enough memory to be a succesful liar.

Ashamed to be English since 23rd June 2016 when England voted for racism & economic suicide.

Disgusted that the UK is “governed” by a squalid bunch of economically illiterate, self-serving, sleazy and corrupt neo-fascists.

Perhaps I've misinterpreted Randerson79's OP? But, since he hasn't weighed back in on his OP...
When I read "Chicago Style Hotdog", I don't think of a hot with just veggies on it, or hot dogs from a can (sorry DM, we'll have to agree to disagree on this one), or the ones from 7-11. Or Oscar Meyer brand, whose taste & seasonings are aimed at a child's taste buds. IMO.
When I read "Chicago Style Hotdog", I think of a well seasoned hot dog on a good bun.
As I stated in my OP on this thread, I've only found one place that sells them.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chicago-style_hot_dog
A Chicago-style hot dog, Chicago Dog, or Chicago Red Hot is an all-beef frankfurter on a poppy seed bun, originating from the city of Chicago, Illinois.
The typical beef hot dog weighs 1/8 of a pound or 2 ounces (57 g) and the most traditional type features a natural casing, providing a distinctive "snap" when bitten...
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vienna_Beef
Vienna Beef is a manufacturer of the hot dog used in the classic Chicago-style hot dog, as well as Polish sausage and Italian beef, delicacies of independent Chicago-style hot dog and beef stands.
Vienna Beef supplies hot dogs to several restaurants in the Chicago area, each with a specially tailored variation. These variations include different casings and ratios of ingredients.
Or any these brands of Hot Dogs:
http://www.nathansfamous.com/index.php/history
http://www.hebrewnational.com/kosher-pr ... eef-franks
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Armour_and_Company

But Randerson79, if all you are looking for is a hot dog w/veggies on it, follow MS's advice and go to 7-11.

BTW, none of the brands I've mentioned can be bought here in Thailand. That is why on my infrequent visits back to the States, I bring back a couple of kilos of them. Or, a kind friend will bring me back a few packages. I consider myself a hot dog aficionado.

We have been doing hot dogs with onions, cheese, mustard and ketchup at Aussie Burger Sports bar in Nutty Park for the past month, and they are great bar food and popular. Also frankfurts (hot dog) wrapped in puff pastry and they are even better.

They go well with a stubbie of ice cold piss, to Aussies and Kiwis, piss is what we call beer, just a bit of slang.
