Hi Barney, what's up my friend and customer(s) !?

Just tell your daughter that she has the best tastebuds in Town, okey ;) Thank's for the "plug"on Nok's Homemade Burgers.

//Have a great day..Khun Nok :D
Barney wrote:Now some may dispute this but Australia is the home of great burgers, we have taken what ever it started as and just refined it to the pinnacle of a great quick meal. Fatbo is correct in his advice to those who do not fear cardiac arrest, that BK, MCD are just something for the non culinary minded masses.
To receive the closest thing to the great Aussie meal you don't have to waste your time and excess fuel charge by driving to the airport. Soi sampan fish and chips has all you require to achieve the flavor and nutrition of a true aussie style hamburger. You will never get the same burger as in the BK photos, but you will get what's in the photos at Harry's handle bar.
For the record this is an absolutely unbiased review from a hamburger expert, that has as a young bloke eaten Hamburgers ( plain, with egg, with egg and cheese, with egg cheese and bacon, the works actually) on many a surfing trip up and down the east coast of Australia and also had the privilege of egg running down my hands at harrys.

Oh, another good cheese burger my young daughter loves is the cheese burger at Nok restaurant in Nong Samrong.

Can't argue with success. :D

I've payed a visit to both the evil burger empires since the start of this thread and snapped a photo.
they don't look as good as the million dollar advertisement photos, but both were tasty.
McDonanlds Angus beef burger:

BK Whopper:

BK's Whopper wins on taste.  McD's can't come close to the flame broiled taste of BK's beef.

If you don't like their food then the following is irrelevant, but what I can count on at the evil burger empires is a high level of consistently.
-Open during posted opening hours.
-always actually have what's on the menu.
-served reasonable fast.
-Food taste the same as the last time you had it.
-Staff speaks reasonable English and has been trained in polite customer service.
- place is always clean.

I can't say the same about some of the other restaurants I've visited in Udon.

100% agreement.

Especially when being open during posted times. I stopped going to a few expat/falang-owned restaurants for that very reason. I usually give 'em two shots at it because I realize that something could have cropped up unexpectedly the first time, but if they're still not open when they say they will be after two visits, I never try again. I have found this to happen most often with the restaurants that only have a husband/wife (not enough staff) operation that opens at night and serves beer, and then tries to open for breakfast. They usually don't have the giddy-up in the mornings if they've been drinking with customers the night before.

The airport
The forest was shrinking daily but the trees kept voting for the axe as its handle was made of wood and they thought it was one of them.

Seems they do:
The Aussie
It’s the great Australian bite. With a 100% Australian beef patty, premium eye bacon, a cracked egg, beetroot, cheese, onion, tomato, lettuce and tasty BBQ sauce, all served on a fresh sesame-seed bun. Just try wrapping your laughing gear around all that.
