Oops sorry you are right the 9th is a Tuesday - I told you I had a hangover when I was writing it. That will teach me not to look at my diary upside down when not in control of my senses !

Next meeting provisionally then is Saturday 6th August

All those with excuses bring them on >:/ :-({|=

Absentees will require a note from their mum at the very least :)

Will a note from the wife do??

Anyway, here it is:
Dear Mr Paul,
I am afraid that my dear little bangkok butcher will be unable to attend his spot at the next Udon Thani Map's pissup.

This is mainly due to the fact that he has recently caught a bout of dengue fever and is suffering from a slightly higher than usual temperature.

Me and our children are also being a little more demanding than usual, and are insisting that he saves all of his hard earned pennies as quickly a possible to help us all have a half decent weekend at the upcoming Thai food festival in London.

Besides that, he aint got the dough to pay for another 5 return tickets to Udon yet, as much as he would like to, he will just have to sit and sulk for now.

Best Regards,

Mrs B.Butcher...

Saturday 9th.

Just a repeat message of what I posted on the old Forum site.

I would like to thank everyone who attended the get together on the 9th a "Thank You" for a great evening.

I hope you all got home OK?

As for my evening, Firstly, I had no idea of where the hell I was. Secondly, I was drinking whiskey and I hate whiskey, and thirdly, have you found out that when you are standing on a chair and dancing, it is very hard to stay on the chair. Especially when you are drunk!!

Apologies for not saying "bye". I think I slipped off, (not the chair), about 4.00am.

If there is anyone who has been hesitating about attending a monthly meeting, your missing a great evening.

Galee, (Gary)

Bangkok Butcher:

Your note has been ... erm... noted !!!! lol

Hopefully the feedback on this site will give you some idea of what went on and you wont feel too much like you are missing out :)

Gary (Galee).
I am so pleased you had an enjoyable and memorable evening and I can only add what has been said previously - miss it - miss out.

What a great difference from that first lonesome meeting a few months back.

See everyone August 6th

Yep, the feedback is working wonders Paul, it's sure good to hear of the crazy antics of the once a month event :).

May even be a possibility of it becoming a weekly event at some stage in the future now it's beginning to grow ;), who knows eh..

Keep em coming

Are you mad ?
I have few enough brain cells already without pickling any more !!!!

Seriously though, the numbers are still extremely small compared to the membership numbers on this site, but its getting better each month :)

Lets see how it develops though and take it from there.

One-off 'extraordinary' meetings can always be called (for example if the timing is out of synch. with someone visiting for just a short time).

looking back - after the last meet, its a good job that webcam scheme never took off LOL

(don't you agree Gary ?????)

definitely mad!

and keep those cams off. once a month is more than enough for me. especially considering, we all have other non forumite drinking buds or budettes we may fry brain cells with. way to obvious that i don't have many left as it is. i'm only good for 2 frying a month, forum and local bud. plus i have to end a relationship every month now, just to have a good story at the meeting.

"Webcams & Blackmail" are two words that sit very well together.

Here in the UK I'm a very up-standing pillar of the community. The last thing I want is my antics in LOS be known...lol.

Bye the way, I'm back in the UK. Have a stinking cold. Think I got it in that rain early Sunday morning. Best cold I've ever had. :D

At last, I can finally say I'll be there. Been waiting for this moment for quite a while. I'll be there with a box of cigars and a bottle of scotch. I need suggestions; single malt, high land, low land or blended. Let me know I'm buying. Of course this will probably be the one pissup everyone shows up to

don't drink scotch, but a cigar sounds good, haven't smoked one of them in years.

congrats on the little one. definitely gives you purpose. actually have to almost act responsible, that example thing, scary how they pick up on everything you say and do. enjoy it before she borrows the keys to the car.
