Thai corruption officials and police investigators remind me of the three blind mice/three monkeys (hear/see/speak)/three stooges and of course a picture of 3 monkeys sitting on a street corner waiting for a car to pass-by to beg for money.

How hard is it to..........................to confirm these usual Thai excuses/alibis.
1. Check CCTV footage of the area.
2. Check ATM footage in the area.
3. Phone GPS
4. Vehicle GPS
5. Establishment's CCTV, if it hasn't already been deleted.
6. Close by establishment CCTV.

Then you got the Watch Gate, every high end watch is reqistered to a specific owner/purchaser...........not hard to verify who owned or purchased these watches.

Oh, also have to blame the Thai News Media..................isn't there one honest reporter in Thailand or have they all been killed or intimidated to leave the country.

Western countries have their similar problems, but there always seem to be one brave reporter who will break the story with concrete evidence of corruption/collusion/coverups.

that was the only "big bust"?? Just Victoria's Secret?? What about the dozens of other high end places that cater primarily to upper levels of Thai society?? Someone brought up ol' Chuwit, former "individual of the Massage Parlors." Yes, when Johnny Law came down on ol' Chuwit the word was out that he had everybody on tape and photos and that any pressure would result in a flood of disclosures.. But, Chuwit, got religion, gave his huge business to his daughter, formed his very own political party and got elected as a graft-busting politician.. Wheels within wheels... You've got to wonder who actually owned Victoria's Secret.....

Standard operating procedure, haven't seen any recent info on how the investigation into the officials/police involved in this. Guess they'll just do the usual half ass investigation and let the news stories die and it'll be back to corruption/cover ups as usual.

Oh, also see the generals are circling the wagons and providing stories to back Prawit's story. Amazing, it's not that hard to find out who purchased the watches in question. Of course, by now as the actual watches aren't available or has been switched out (returned to someone that might of actually purchased a similar watch). Imagine if investigators just called the watch company(s) and see if any watches were purchased by Prawit or any of his family members, guess that would be to hard.

Also, amazing that the current govts opposition parties aren't smart enough to do their own investigation. Ok, not amazed......... they are most likely to lazy or stupid to actually to think out of the box.

Won't even go into the local news services doing their own investigation. oppsss guess I did.

talking about someone who might have the dirt on many others.. Ol' Tarit former DSI head for many many years and through both the Taksin/Abhisit/Phuea Thai administration.. For not declaring his assets per the law he got a 3 month suspended sentence and a 5,000 baht fine.. "According to the NACC's investigation, Mr Tarit amassed unexplained wealth of 346.65 million baht while with the DSI."

Avg Thai would get that for stealing a pair of shoes or bag of rice, gotta love the Thai Justice System.
