Trials like these probably have tad bit to do with the immigration changes. Not all, but some.

Every country encourages tourists to spend. I don't know of any country that encourages pirate behavior and is willing to accept that level of behavior.

I dont know of one immigration change thet would of helped in this case even if Thai immigration were to force any visitor to require travel insurance these guys would have been disqualified for being drunk as I said before dont agree with the damage to property but the same happens in any tourist night life resort just lucky no one was injured
