Looks like more trouble for Rolf after his re arrest and release on bail.

can't be much REAL news in UK when this and Simon Cowell get on the front page ..........

and they charge 50p for the rubbish now

Looks like his kangaroo is going to be tied down for some time

From Sky News:-

Rolf Harris has been charged with nine counts of indecent assault and four counts of making indecent images of a child.

The 83-year-old is accused of the assault offences between 1980 and 1986 relating to two alleged victims, who were aged 14 and 15 at the time, the Crown Prosecution Service said.

The charges he faces are:

:: Six counts of indecent assault relating to a girl aged between 15 and 16, from 1980 to 1981;

:: Three offences of indecent assault relating to a girl aged 14, in 1986;

:: Four offences of making indecent images of a child between March and July 2012.

Harris was interviewed under caution on November 29 last year, five days after his Berkshire home was searched.

Police passed their evidence to the CPS on August 12.

"We have carefully considered the evidence gathered by the Metropolitan Police Service as part of Operation Yewtree in relation to Rolf Harris, who was initially arrested on November 29 2012 over allegations of sexual offences," said the CPS' Alison Saunders.

"A file of evidence was passed to the CPS on August 12 2013.

"Having completed our review, we have concluded that there is sufficient evidence and it is in the public interest for Mr Harris to be charged."

Harris will appear at Westminster Magistrates' Court on September 23.

The Australian, who painted a portrait of the Queen in 2005 and performed at her Diamond Jubilee concert last year, has been a family favourite for decades.

He had his first musical hit Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport in 1960, and continued to enjoy success in the industry, gaining cult status in recent years and performing at Glastonbury festival several times.

Harris, who has lived in Bray, Berkshire, for more than 50 years, was awarded an MBE in 1968, an OBE in 1977 and a CBE in 2006, and was made Officer of the Order of Australia in the Queen's Birthday Honours list last year.

The trial of the Octopus presses on. Mr. Harris is probably a very worried man by now. Even if he gets off his reputation has been thoroughly trashed. The door at Buckingham Palace won't be open for him again. I wonder if he touched up any of the staff there. They might all be too old for him.

If he's found guilty it's not going to cost him a few squid (sorry quid) but his freedom

Yes and I also hope the Octopus hasn't had the opportunity to grope girls and young women since he was charged. He'll be missing that big time. The show business crowd have obviously known a fair bit about the Octopus for years and never done anything. I reckon the employers of the make up girls / women have been appallingly tolerant. What kind of employer lets some idiot touch up its staff?

On a day of Aussie accents from the witness stand at the Rolf Harris trial, one strident complaint rang out from the pack.

"The dirty old man groped me all day, and I was really pissed off," said the witness, loudly, drawing a giggle from the onlookers at Southwark Crown Court.

Probably lucky the grandmother and great-grandmother weren't there as well. How has he got away with this for so long?

I wonder if any of the Jake the Pegs fancy octogenarians. The Octopus will be hoping not.

Well it's getting near decision time for Rolf. If he thinks he's going down on this, the last gamble is to take the stand. The entertainment for those of us not personally connected to the case may jump leaps and bounds. No doubt Rolf has been following Oscar P's troubles giving evidence. I don't think I'd fancy a few days of cross-examination on questions about sexually assaulting girls. The defence "everyone in show business does it" won't cut the mustard in 2014. The Coronation Street stars weren't doing it.

Yep and soon in the slammer. A psychologist's report on Rolf would be interesting reading. So popular but such a loser. His family face some horrible dilemmas. Do you support your husband when he's been fornicating with one of your daughter's friends? He's admitted that bit. What should a good wife do?

Rolf will be trying to relax this weekend. He'll probably be going on a few outings but he will have to be careful where he goes as some members of the public might offer him a few words. There's now more than one dirty digger hanging out in Blighty. OK, the other is mainly in the US now. Perhaps next weekend Rolf wi'll be locked up sharing a cell with Jake the Peg.
