Old buggers should pack it in and enjoy thier retirement.
I seen Kris Kristoffersen a couple of years ago and it was a bit sad seeing him up there playing cause he sounded very poor, but like the Stones and other artists they seem hell bent on milking the pay days when they are basically a shadow of thier selves.

I saw the Rolling Stones with Brian Jones in the early sixties at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto. The cost was $5 a ticket. It was an enjoyable concert. There is no need for me to see them again.
By the way, it was $2.50 to see Elvis in 1957 and $10 to see the Beatles. You could not hear the Fab Four owing to the screaming, and I suspect Elvis put on the best show of the three.
You only pass through this life once, you don't come back for an encore.

Probably because he's been a resident of the US for about 50 years ….

"Probably" doesn't address the question.

Maybe he doesn't fancy drinking water out of a flower vase.

Re: stones cancel US tour as Jagger is unwell
The whole point of socialized medicine is that it does't matter how much money someone has in their pockets. It's supposed to be great for everyone. That's the promise. Mick's net worth shouldn't matter, and it doesn't matter to socialized medicine -- so they say -- supposedly.
Yet, Mick, with his freedom to choose, has his surgery in the US. Proud to say he chose the US for his surgery.
But ... Mick's net worth is no different than "probably" in not being able to answer the question. It must be based on the quality of care received. It's certainly not less expensive in the US compared to free (or very little expense) in the UK.

If you want the answer you would have to ask him yourself
We cant answer for Sir Mick and really shouldn't as we don't know why and are only guessing

Here is what another great Englishman had to say about the NHS:
As I have said before, just about every decent 1st world country in the world has universal health care, which means the 99% of their populations who are not multi-millionaires, do not have to worry about being driven into destitution, or bankruptcy, if they are unfortunate enough to get sick.
https://www.theguardian.com/science/201 ... -long-life“I wouldn’t be here today if it were not for the NHS,” Hawking told the Guardian at the time. “I have received a large amount of high-quality treatment without which I would not have survived.”

And the question remains. If it was so great for Hawking, why did Mick choose the US?

Mick is not a British resident and has not been for 40 years, if he for some bizarre reason he wanted to return for surgery for free , first he has to have a residence in the uk, then he has to wait 13 weeks, then he has to pay millions in income tax. Then of course he has insurance so it won't cost him a penny to get it done in the USA anyway. Any more daft questions ?jackspratt wrote: ↑April 4, 2019, 5:21 pmHere is what another great Englishman had to say about the NHS:

Re: stones cancel US tour as Jagger is unwell
not a British resident, tax exile, and his record company pays the bill anyway. I think he lives in Los Angeles so that might explain it
