You’d have to be mad to think Boris Johnson is the answer to Britain’s problems - George Galloway

“Only Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the noon-day sun.” You could say the same about the Conservative Party, which just chose Boris Johnson to lead it.

It didn't take long for the Udon map snowflakes to get their negative two penneth in. Now they have another 'demon' to slag off , might take the Udon heat off POTUS.
Re: In WTF News: Bojo runaway favorite to be Britain’s next prime minister
By the way , the Queen will meet with Boris this afternoon, just after receiving Mays resignation. the UK cannot be wihtout a PM for 1 day, but it seems the correct procedures are alien to you.

Yep, Boris the blonde buffoon will get a bit of time tomorrow.
But the main show will be tomorrow night local time, when Mueller fronts the Congressional committees to tell the world what he discovered about the Bombastic Orange Bullshiitter.
Re: In WTF News: Bojo runaway favorite to be Britain’s next prime minister
If POTUS is guilty then BW. IMPEACH him. Why not, because it would fail miserably. All this nonsense is to keep the Dems in the limelight for 2020.

So just how much is Boris Johnson worth?
According to some estimates, including the net worth site Celebrity Net Worth, Mr Johnson is worth £1.5 million, made up of salaries, property and royalties.
He gets paid £79,468 a year as MP for Uxbridge and South Ruislip, which will increase to £150,402 as Prime Minister.
In addition to this, he earns £275,000 a year for writing his weekly column in the Daily Telegraph, although he will discontinue this once he’s Prime Minister.
He resigned his post at the paper when he became Foreign Secretary, but was rehired as soon as he left the Cabinet.
The former foreign secretary said he spends 10 hours a month writing his 1,100-word column, equivalent to a pay rate of £2,291/hour – or around £4.80 a word.
In 2009, the then-mayor Mr Johnson dismissed his newspaper salary, which was £250,000 at the time, as “chicken feed”.
He made the comment in an interview for the BBC’s HARDTalk programme, saying: “I happen to write extremely fast.
“I don’t see why on a Sunday morning I shouldn’t knock off an article, if someone wants to pay me for that article then that’s their lookout and of course I make a substantial donation to charity.”

Re: In WTF News: Bojo runaway favorite to be Britain’s next prime minister
So these various news sources have all got it wrong:
Boris Johnson is the new leader of the Conservative party. He officially becomes prime minister on Wednesday, after Theresa May formally resigns. https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-48497953
He will replace Theresa May as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom on Wednesday following her long-promised resignation. https://extra.ie/2019/07/23/news/politi ... e-minister
May will deliver a farewell speech and officially submit her resignation to Queen Elizabeth II on Wednesday. https://www.npr.org/2019/07/23/74432697 ... e-minister
...... before Theresa May hands in her resignation and goes to Buckingham Palace to make way for Boris tomorrow. https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/9563931/r ... ld-follow/
The new Prime Minister will be announced next week on Tuesday, 23 July and whoever wins the race will officially take over as PM the following day – at which point Theresa May will step down. https://metro.co.uk/2019/07/20/theresa- ... to=cbshare
Correct procedure includes having half a clue about what you are talking. So when will Mrs May meet with the Queen at Buckingham Palace to formally resign?
On Wednesday, July 24, the second ever female prime minister will go to Buckingham Palace and formally tender her resignation to the Queen.
From there, the outgoing Tory leader will have one last constitutional task - to advise Queen Elizabeth II on who her successor should be. https://www.express.co.uk/news/politics ... er-next-UK
Re: In WTF News: Bojo runaway favorite to be Britain’s next prime minister
Ok yes correct, the point I was making is that resignation of the current PM to the Monarch , and the Monarch asking the newly proposed incumbent to form a Government is usually done in the shortest possible time.
I can only summise that in my elation at the prospect of the UK being finally unshackled from the totally corrupt Brussels elite that I got the days mixed up. I duly apologize.

You know, they said similar things about Winston Churchill. His colleagues, called him a drunk and stubborn imperialist, amongst other things. His detractors referred to him as a bigot/racist, because he allegedly once said “I hate Indians, they are a beastly people............ ” and he supposedly referred to Palestinians as “barbaric hordes who ate little but camel dung”. Was he wrongRLTrader wrote: ↑July 23, 2019, 6:32 pmYou’d have to be mad to think Boris Johnson is the answer to Britain’s problems - George Galloway“Only Mad Dogs and Englishmen go out in the noon-day sun.” You could say the same about the Conservative Party, which just chose Boris Johnson to lead it.

All trivial, even if true, when you consider his achievement of having saved Britain from speaking German, in the 21st Century.
Would Winston have survived in the era of 21st Century Politics, with all the backstabbing politically correct wimps around him, probably not. So you need to be grateful that he came along at the right time.
You may well say something similar about Boris 20 years down the track, when Brexit is over and you may well be grateful that too came along.
