I quoted you but posted separately. I didn't put anything "in to" your post. It was simply a rebuttal of your opinion that Trump carries the can on this debacle.

Your inability to comprehend what is written must be quite challenging.

That surprises me. They look like joining NATO only now. They've been living with their trousers down for decades. The Americans, aside from the fxcking moron, seem to have understood Russia much better than the Europeans.

If one took the TIME to research Russian History and the formation of what would eventually become Russia, you would see the histporically the Finish JKings with allies fighting all sorts, some of it on the side of the new Rusland and other times on the opposite side.
European history is a far more complex subject and it does take some understanding , I do not fully understand it, but the peoples are intermingled over the centuries , I know of one family member of mine a FINMN ( by marriage who has cousins fighting each other currently .
Finland and Sweden wanted to remain neutral and stay as they were, but sadly PUTIN and his visions are really disconcerting and a possible threat to the stability and threatens the peaceful co-existence currently enjoyed in both countries. Hence the move towards a mutual move to be part of what is most certainly a defensive ( not offensive ) understanding which was set up to counter what was then a at its inception a real threat to European stability following the end of WW11.
That Russia is now complaining shows a distinct uping of the ante as they know they are talking absolute rubbish, NATO has never threatened Russia, but like Russia its sheer existence has kept the peace for decades. Thereby inhibiting Russians actions to regain what it lost following the ending of the IRON Curtain ( which they ( Russia ) put in place ater the end of WW!!. Ego is a wonderful thing but this EGO was dented by the populations of many countries seeking a better life and in the words of Dads Army L/Cpl, the Russians did not like it up them....hahaha .
Therefore are now seeking to redress that situation.

How not to cross a river.
Russia lost an entire battalion when trying to cross a river in eastern Ukraine.

Since Putin wants to eliminate the nation, people and culture of Ukraine, the UN's solution to the ethnic cleansing in Bosnia should be employed against Russia.

I'm still looking for any reference to a NATO country invading another with the stated aim of destroying it.

Apparently, this is doing the rounds in Russia.
A Russian wife turned to her husband and asked, "What's this special military operation our glorious leader keeps talking about?"
Her husband replied, "It's a proxy war between Russia and NATO."
"Oh, right. How's it going?"
"Well," he replied, "so far we've lost 24,000 soldiers, 2,000 tanks, 200 aircraft, numerous helicopters, and loads of armoured vehicles and artillery pieces."
"Wow! What about NATO?"
"They haven't turned up yet."😂😂😂😂

Maybe Russia ran out of room to store all their obsolete war machines. The Ukraine is their dumping grounds. Whether Russia wins the war or not depends on how many more young soldiers he is willing to sacrifice.

Oh dear boy stop flattering yourself< I do not recognise as one of my critics, rather the same as a Red Ant here, to be brushed away or squashed, either way entirely inconsequential to my well-being .

Agree Tam.
No NATO member Nation has invaded or been invaded by a member Nation since NATO's conception. NATO member Nations have been involved in military actions (Bosnia for one, who was not a member State, but we were wearing blue UN helmet covers and berets and under orders from UN appointed halfwits then) over the years. But the whole meaning of NATO is that if any aggressor 'attacks a member state' then 'all' NATO members will come to that Nations assistance. Obviously aimed at what was the Soviet Union and now specifically Russia and its few allies. Poo Tin might used NATO as an excuse for his stuttering invasion of a peaceful Nation but we all know that's just BS.

Or the Russian people decide that the losses in young lives is no longer justifiable and put Poo Tin behind bars or give him a double 9mm tap in the back of his noggin.
