looks like putin listened to someone , their just going to wait for everyone to die in the steel works. ran out of medicine so a lot will die from wounds that cant be treated for infections , running out of food and low ammo. it's going to be a miserable way to die, friggin medieval tactics. maybe they'll try to break out, also guessing the russians hope they do try.

Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin said that the sanctions imposed by European countries against Russia are illegal.
Strengthening NATO's positions near Russian borders is no longer a figure of speech and a set of standard threats, Moscow should be ready for possible aggressive actions,
"And this requires reliable, high-tech, powerful equipment - both military and dual-use," the deputy head of the Security Council said.
He clarified that we are talking about innovative developments and advanced research that are aimed at maintaining the country's defense capability, at "countering the most serious threats" facing Russia.

Not good news for Russia. China has backtracked from allowing Russian banks to issue new cards using UnionPay for the time being. Russian UnionPay holders have reported difficulties using the system to make payments.

Not good news for France and Germany who have used loopholes to sell weapons to Russia despite the post-Crimean invasion embargo.

Paris and Berlin sent £230m of military hardware, which included bombs, rockets, missiles and guns, to Moscow despite an EU-wide embargo on arms shipments to Russia, introduced in the wake of its 2014 annexation of Crimea.

German firms had used a loophole in an EU embargo on arms exports to Russia, making sales worth €121 million (£107 million) of “dual-use” equipment, including rifles and special protection vehicles, to Moscow.

Berlin defended its use of an ambiguity within the EU’s 2014 arms blockade, insisting that the goods were sold only after the Kremlin guaranteed they were for civilian use, rather than military application.

Alongside bombs, rockets and torpedoes, French firms sent thermal imaging cameras for more than 1,000 Russian tanks as well as navigation systems for fighter jets and attack helicopters.

How about them dual-use fighter jet navigation systems and thermal imaging cameras for tanks? Never mind the dual-use torpedoes and bombs, eh?

And all it took was the Kremlin's word?

Russia has warned the United States against sending more weapons to Ukraine, saying the delivery of arms supplies is “pouring oil on the flames”.

Maybe the world , let's make it so he has no choice . seems a good idea to make Russia so weak Putin might as well take the world with him , seems sensible enough. Some head shrink should analyse if Putin in a murder/suicide candidate.

Some of those countries were former Soviet Bloc members so there's a good chance that they sold munitions for the old fashioned and mostly redundant Russian weaponry.

Just because they haven't publicly stated what the contents of these shipments are, doesn't mean the loopholes were well and truly utilized for financial gain. For example, there's the earlier reference to "German firms had used a loophole in an EU embargo on arms exports to Russia, making sales worth €121 million (£107 million) of “dual-use” equipment, including rifles and special protection vehicles, to Moscow."

I am sure that Berlin is working on an acceptable copy of the written guarantees they got from the Kremlin that in lieu of any burgeoning Russian humanitarian efforts, these rifles and special protection vehicles were solely for weekend hunting and fishing trips.

And, according to the wee graphic that accompanied the linked story, the Germans earn more on Russian offence than the UK does.
