Stan, the uptodate contact mobile number and email for Frank are in their business for sale classified on udonmap. The only small point with regard to your little dog is that they have a resident mother cat and her 3 kittens so you never know how protective a mother cat might become.
Pool is 1.70 at the deep end. Will be there friday this week for a couple of small shandies with Frank. 8)

We have no problem with the other animals ,as we keep her close all the time. The only possibility is that she might bark at night once or twice is she hears cats howling. We have a cat that she sleeps with on our bed, they play together, but some neigborhood cats come tomcatting around at night, and when they howl or quarrel, she will give out and couple of barks and get excited!

Will be interested in your report,we will be in Udon Saturday for shopping, dog grooming and the NM get together.Might drop by the the BG then! Thanks again!

There was one other resident around the pool who seemed to be relaxed and about 3 or 4 other older local kids who were also using the pool, but were certainly not misbehaving.

Shame really, as I would've been a frequent visitor.

Didn't you see the sign..."No Larffing When In Pool".... #-o
.if that happened to my Mrs she would never set foot anywhere near a place again....neither would i actually.
Personally I find that quite bizarre Marmite, the son laughing or making the usual Thai screaming noises :-k
I do know the owners and am seeing them soon so can bring this to their attention.
The first time I went there, I did make a point of asking the owners if it was OK for my family to go there, and they said it was fine, so I was surprised at their attitude when I did take the family there. At no point was my son unsupervised (I was with him 100% of the time as he was under 2 at the time) and as soon as he started to get a bit whiney, we headed home, as I hate putting up with other people's whiney kids.

Saying that, the owner's wife might have just had an off day.

I visited there yesterday afternoon and Marmite,I think another visit would would be warranted if you wanted some clarification! It is hard for me to fathom the behavior you reported from the couple I spent the afternoon with! :D

Frank and his wife Neeum(sic) were fantastic hosts and I thoroughly enjoyed their company.

LA and REE,plus myself and my family spent the late afternoon ,early evening there and I will definitely be going back!

Thank you pompui for the recommendation and the ''beer on ice'',hope to meet you and yours in the future!

Frank has a large sail boat charting business out of Koh Chang that I think is reasonably priced at 11,000 baht per day for a large group! So far ,I have talked to some members about doing it after the rainy season is over,Ralph,LA,saint have indicated some interest.

I'll be collecting my fee from you guys and from Frank,I just haven't decided on how much I can gouge you all for

Anyway, for any of you that want to avoid my ''fee'',are interested in the exact precise details OR are interested in meeting a super nice and social couple, drop down to Bang Sung and toss a couple with Frank and his wife!Take your swimsuit,if you dare

I agree. The first time I went there, I thought this would be a great place to spend a few sunny afternoons, and Frank seemed a lovely guy.

I guess they don't like kids who laugh when they're having fun. No worries.

can't add much to Stan's comments, a very pleasant afternoon chatting and sipping beer with Frank and his wife. nice to know they are back to running things. would highly recommend a stay there if wanting a little close R&R out of the city in quiet settle with pool to relax in. pool has been well maintained every time i popped in for a peek. now that Frank and wife are there, kitchen and food is available, and menu seemed will priced, along with beer. pool side bungalows looking comfy, w/new mattress, all agreeing quite comfy for a nights snooze.

if playing tourist, the baht bus is a short walk to main road if wanting to explore udon city, but remember to return before nightfall, as they stop running. enjoy.

If Frank is the original owner (I was there moons ago but don't remember the owner's name), he built the pool himself. And at that time, he was one of the few private citizens in Udon with a pool. I was sitting in his gazebo near the pool and asked him how he ensured he had an adequate supply of water. He said, "you're sitting on it" and sure enough, the seats lifted up and he had built a huge holding tank for the city water. I walked away from his place that day with the idea to build an accessible 2000 liter cement tank under the raised portion of our house. I've never regretted it as it keeps the water cool all day......especially nice for my outdoor showers a few times a day. Beats having a tank that sits in the sun all day.

Correction:A large sailboat for charter!I am not sure of the size as I am not familiar with sailboats. If I heard him right,no problem with 8-10 people and the picture looked like ,guessing,40+ feet long.

You could call him at 0818337673.

Whoops, there goes my ''fee''!!

yes he is the owner/builder of the resort!
